Had a lovely relaxing week at ROBB resort early February 2025. The grounds and gardens are really beautiful and clean. Enjoyed some lovely food in the buffet restaurants, lots of choice although annoyingly the hot food is often only lukewarm - especially at breakfast. And don't get me started on eating cereal with a fork -  what’s wrong with putting spoons out at breakfast? Visited the seafood restaurant for an additional charge of $20 each, nice but not sure worth the extra fee, especially when there are further charges for some of the menu dishes there. We enjoyed our last evening meal in the Italian restaurant, well worth booking into there. Our room in block 3 was really nice, overlooking the gardens, and was well attended to daily by Hamdy. We don't know how many rooms he has to service, but he always made the time to greet us and ask how the room is. We wish the shower in the room had been less stressful - a frustrating daily battle to balance water pressure and temperature. Spent most of our time at the adults only relax pool (NB pool is not heated and is freezing cold in low season), where the staff attended to laying out our towels daily and some staff brought our drinks to the sunbeds without being asked. Have also experienced this service in the main buffet restaurant where, if you sit in a similar area, it seems the waiting staff learn your needs and produce your drinks without being asked. By the end of the week, we were even having "our" table kept for us, so thank you to Mohamed for treating us like VIPs. Had a great couple’s massage at the spa, which was a nice treat. Went snorkelling with our own face masks brought from home, really pretty reef and fish. The beach lifeguards are attentive and blow their whistles if they need your attention, for example if you float or swim over shallow reef waters. Have returned to this hotel after a previous visit 10 years ago. Some of the furnishings look dated, some restaurant tables probably need replacing, but I'd say that's reflected in the cost of this resort. We booked via booking.com and flew with B.A., a big saving on a package deal. The staff here really work hard and make the holiday relaxing and friendly. It's low season in February, not many English (maybe only us!??), lots of Russians and Italians. No need to be put off by other nationalities - just do your thing and let them do theirs. The English are not generally comfortable about tipping culture, but we embraced it by taking lots of $1 bills and being well treated for these small gestures - we never felt pushed to tip, but I think this may have got us 5* treatment in an otherwise 4* hotel. So a huge “Shukran” to the staff, who have really made this place into a nice, relaxing holiday.

Relaxing week with 5* Service in a 4* Hotel

We visited 17th-28th February (Myself and Husband) 
Checking in was easy and Reception were very friendly and efficient. Our room was an executive room , and was spotlessly clean (although quite tired in decor) . The toilet was running water constantly and was sporadic throughout our stay as to whether it flushed immediately or whether you had to wait 10/20 minutes, but to be fair, we never mentioned it, so nobody had the chance to rectify the matter. 
The beds were not comfortable , but that could be our personal choice. 
In all, I cant really complain about the room apart from it was tired and needed refurbishing. 
It was cleaned daily and we didn't really have any complaints.

The food was brilliant- probably the best all inclusive food I've ever had. 
I really wouldn't waste any time or money on the other restaurants. We ate at the Italian (Free as part of AI), and left before our desserts arrived as the service was SO slow and the food wasn't that great. We paid extra to go to the Fisherman's Restaurant (around £15 each), and it wasn't worth it to justify the cost. Based on those two experiences, we chose not to bother with the French restaurant and stuck to the AI buffets. 
They were brilliant. Fresh food and a good variety- it really was lovely food .

The pools were nice, but only one was heated so we didn't use them as we found the beach much nicer ( and the sea!!!!- first time to Egypt and I was blown away by the snorkelling) 

I visited the Spa on the first day for prices and to see what was on offer, and the ladies behind the desk were without a doubt the most unfriendliest, unwelcoming people I met on our holiday. Honestly- they weren't helpful at all- I was literally thrust the album showing treatments and left to it. I decided there and then that I wouldnt book anything on principle! 
The two people who came around the beach trying to sell services at the Spa ( man and a lady) were very nice, and had I met them first, I probably would have booked treatments, but i had already met the rude ladies at the spa, so was adamant they weren't getting my hard earned money! 

The shops on site are a rip off ( par for the course I think in a hotel) and it was a shame . In the chemist one day, I needed a lip balm as my lips were sun burnt- he charged me £450 Egyptian Pounds (£7.90) for a lip balm that I googled online and saw should have cost £45 Egyptian Pounds...... Just be wary!!!!

The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you.

Despite the Spa and the Shops, I think this hotel is excellent value for money and I would return. 

Their customer service has set the bar high and I would not hesitate to recommend it  Its beautiful and a good choice- I would definitely encourage you to book if you are on the fence !!!

Would recommend this hotel- Brilliant

Really great time at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort.  Fantastic facilities and great Al-a-Carte restaurants.  All the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, but special mention for Hamdy my Room housekeeper, always cheerful and extremely efficient, and Amy from Guest services.  Sorted out a couple of minor issue very swiftly, and always stopped when she saw me to ensure everything was fine.

Great hotel, staff are really friendly and helpful and are not constantly expecting tips. The Sunset Court restaurant is great for breakfast and not open to all so has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to dome of the other areas.The room was lovely and a big thank you to Hamdy for ensuring that everything was perfect.

Lovely location. Staff are all so friendly and eager to help without being overbearing. Special shoutout to Hamdy who cleaned our room. Such attention to detail and,as a big tea drinker, he went the extra mile to ensure I had extra teabags and real milk!
