This time I went to Egypt for my birthday celebration. I read reviews before that and had some concerns about the service, but it was completely in vain! Yes, the room stock needs renovation, but these photo reviews are publicly available, that is, when you mainly go to the sea, there are secondary things, you need to understand this. All the advantages are more than compensate some minuses (which is only non-new rooms).

So the undeniable advantages of this hotel are the following: 

1. Service! I received even more than was expected! I was worried for nothing, my birthday was wonderful, compliments in the room, the birthday cake, wonderful staff everywhere in the hotel. I especially want to note the reception manager Tamer - all my comments were taken into account and implemented almost instantly! Great job, I'm very grateful to you for the wonderful room✨ 
Daily cleaning, changing towels, water is present. This wonderful room decoration was such a pleasant surprise for me! Thank to the housekeeping manager Khaled abd elaziz, it was one more point for my mood up during my stay here😊
On the day of departure, I forgot to order a car for luggage at the reception, because the transfer was very early. I only asked the guide about the transfer time. Imagine my surprise when they called me in the morning to ask if the luggage was ready and if they could pick it up! Thank you for your attention to details🫶 Even I myself missed this moment... This all is about Service here.

2. The Sea! It is unsurpassed. The first coastline. Its own coral reef is simply teeming with fish of different varieties and sizes. While resting in Egypt, I saw such diversity for the first time!  I went to the airport with tourists from other hotels - everyone was, unfortunately, disappointed with the reef in their hotels. But here - it's just a treasure, not just the sea. If you wish, you can order diving (even with a photo), everything is on the hotel beach. I didn't see the point in even going on any excursions.

3. Food. Varied, fish and meat of different types every day. There was also seafood. Always fresh salads, stewed vegetables, several types of side dishes, sweets, fruits, berries, wonderful delicious pastries and cakes are there. You definitely won't stay hungry, I guarantee you. Everything is tasty and fresh. Excellent coffee from the machine and good alcohol. The restaurant staff is wonderful, very responsive, even if there are no seats - they will find it for you, ask if everything is okay, bring the drinks you want and how much you want.

4. Atmosphere.  You can feel the level of the hotel, its history, wonderful music, unobtrusive animation, I simply felt aesthetic pleasure from this relaxing enveloping atmosphere of the hotel. The territory is well-groomed, green, neat. 

5. On the last day of my stay, I wanted to buy myself some perfume, it turned out that the hotel has a perfume shop, where the wonderful Ruby works - a master of his craft. He chose exactly the perfume I wanted for me. Thank you very much for your professionalism and responsiveness. I experienced a whole adventure while choosing it, it's beautiful, I'll remember my wonderful Egypt every time thanks to this perfume. I sincerely advise you to visit Ruby and choose a perfume that will transport you back to Egypt. 

6. Location. The hotel is located just 30 meters from Soho. A wonderful evening promenade, many establishments, shops, photo zones, entertainment, a singing fountain, etc. You will definitely be satisfied. 

I have only pleasant feelings and memories from my vacation, and definitely desire to return here! I really didn't want to leave this place. Thank you for your hospitality, Island View Resort 🫶 You've remained in my heart💫

My perfect vacation in Egypt ever!

My partner and I stayed at The Island View Resort 17th - 27th march 2025. 
I have some mobility issues (I have multiple sclerosis which comes with a multitude of symptoms that vary daily as well as a degenerative spinal disease). The staff couldn't have been more helpful, supportive and accommodating. They were all absolutely amazing and all very friendly and kind. 
The hotel is beautifully set in Sharks Bay on the very doorstep of Soho Square.
I emailed ahead of our arrival and Tamer had arranged the most suitable and perfect room for us closest to the main pool, restaurant and reception. 
Our room had a lovely large comfortable bed which was stunningly decorated daily by Ashraf and his team with amazing towel displays and cleaned perfectly. Satalite tv, very comfortable seating area inside and out, as well as shower perfect for not falling over in :)
The food was great and different every day at dinner. We're also fussy eaters and they yet again happily accommodated that. The dinner staff are all very attentive and generous! The variety of croissants at breakfast are impressive too!
The hotel has its own private beach c/w jetty's- perfect for snorkelling over the coral reef as well as its own diving centre (Pyramid diving centre) where Sayed takes care of anything you could possibly want to do in the sea from scuba dives to chartered snorkelling trips on a private yacht. 
Please note there are quite a few steps to get down to the beach - which I was thankful to be advised about prior to our arrival. 
The pools are all manned by lifeguards, we spent most of our time in the pool closest to our room/reception where Mohammed and Wael looked after everyone very well- even moving sun beds for everyone and telling us about the best places to visit and learn about. 
There are several bars too which serve a variety of drinks and cocktails (alcoholic or not). Ahmed at 'our' bar always had a smile on his face :) 
There are shops within the hotel, Hassam in the general store was always very very helpful in finding whatever we needed or pointed us in the right direction - as I previously mentioned we were on the doorstep of Soho square but there is also a supermarket and pharmacy directly opposite the resort entrance. 
The entertainment is great - with different things happening every day and night. Taiko was always including everyone no matter of any disability. 
The grounds are kept like Chelsea flower show. Very picturesque. They use their own flowers in the towel displays - lovely touch. 

One little note that I wish I’d learned before travelling to Egypt for my first time is that is a ‘closed currency’ is that American dollars are favourably accepted Egyptian currency is good too - But there is an ATM perfectly situated in the lobby :)

All in all the staff are the jewels in an already superb crown. I can't say enough about them and how they all made our holiday perfect. 

We can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful staff, beautiful people ⭐️

Had a fantastic and relaxing time. All staff were amazing especially Rashwan, Amir and Ahmed. Special thanks to Mr Said who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.
We also had 2 lovely massages, big thanks to Ruby who looked after us.
Room was lovely with a perfect sea and pool view.
Our room was cleaned daily and we even had lovely inventions made with our towels. I was well impressed.
I would also like a special mention to our best friends Mr and Mrs Watson for recommending us to the Hotel.
We will certainly be returning.

Lovely hotel.

I can say that I feel at home there, it was my second stay and there will probably be others.
I wouldn't recommend it to older people, for them I think it's a bit too much to walk.
It has a lot of greenery, everything is very well-kept. The entrance to the sea is from the pontoon. From the shore you can enter about waist-deep, then the corals start. Access to the beach is via stairs, almost 70 .
I had a junior suite sea view, very close to the beach, but it was about a 6-7 minute walk to the reception and restaurant.
It has a superb reef, many tourists also come from other resorts to dive here. You can dive right at the pontoon, with Pyramids Diving, very professional, the best instructor is Mena Kerelos. Sayed Shalan will help you with all the information about their offers.
The food is very good, quite varied.
A pool was heated, there were many tourists in the water, but I didn't try it. 
I don't really have anything to say about the drinks, I only had a cocktail at the bar near the reception, very good.
I have only words of praise about the room, the bed was very comfortable, the spacious bathroom, the dream view.. 
Very good animation on the beach, Zumba, yoga, foam party, very good music. 
The entire staff is very attentive to tourists having a dream stay, especially the reception manager, Amr Fahim, to whom I thank for all the support.

Best solo vacation

So we have been at this hotel lots now. We just love it obviously! Staff are amazing. Mr Islam, the general manager, is great with us. Said the night time manager is a great friend to us. Mr Said head of food and beverage manager is lovely. Nothing is ever a problem with any of  the staff. Mr Ehab the manager   is a lovely guy too. Our meals were all delicious and Rashwan and Amir looked after us great. Thank you. 
Rooms are basic but aged and are cleaned every day and the cleaner did us lovely towel art most days. We also had a beautiful view of the sea and pool 4, the adult pool. 
We were at the adult pool most days and the guys Mohamed and Ahmed looked after us well. Thank you. 
The gardens are well looked after and are beautiful! 
The hotel is next to Soho Square which is only a minute walk away. Well worth the walk. Only a small taxi ride away from Nama Bay and Nabq both worth a visit! 
Reception staff are amazing as is Tamer and Mohamed in the Victoria bar. 
Cannot wait to be back to see you all again. Thank you again. TIL July. Xxx

Another great holiday!

Within a 50 metres walk from Soho Square where restaurants, cafes and pubs are located, the establishment is located in Sharks Bay. It features a private beach area, lagoon-style pools,restaurants and bars. All rooms feature a balcony overlooking the pool. Each room offers a satellite TV, desk and a minibar. A buffet-style breakfast is served daily, while à-la-carte specialties are served in the evening.Is a 15 minutes drive from Naama Bay, where guests can enjoy a selection of restaurants and cafes. Sharm Al Sheikh International Airport is 15 minutes by car.
