Breakfast & Dinner
Depart Mombasa* and travel past authentic workshops and warehouses on the scenic journey towards Taita Hills Lodge. Along the ascent through Tsavo's Savannah plains, marvel at the imposing Taita Hills as it emerges across the hazy horizon and pause for the chance to spot wild animals roaming freely in the shadows of this striking mountain range. Arriving at Tsavo National Park's closest neighbour - Salt Lick Lodge, feast on a hearty lunch before this afternoon's game drive at the foot of Taita Hills. Listen to chanting birds overhead and the roar of the wilderness as you dart across vast grasslands in the search of magnificent wildlife, including Lions, Elephants and Giraffes who are known to reside amongst the luscious vegetation here. Over a delicious evening meal, bask in the tranquillity and later, enjoy a closer encounter with nature by observing animals gathering at the salt lick and watering hole, positioned alongside the sanctuary's concealed underground hide. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. * Due to arrival times, an overnight stay is required before your safari add-on. This can be arranged with our Customer Experience Team.
Breakfast
Absorb a stunning golden glow beaming across Kenya's breathtaking landscape and observe the park's awakening wildlife on an early morning game drive, before returning to your hotel for breakfast. Close to Tsavo East National park and in the heart of Kenyan wilderness embark on a Game drive en-route to Ngutuni Sanctuary, in search of its large colony of wandering lions. Upon arrival, savour a tasty lunch whilst sharing your incredible setting with local wildlife who congregate at a watering hole perfectly situated close by. Journey back to Mombasa, arriving in the evening.
