Pool

First of all the place is stunning and looks as if it should be worthy of 5 star (it’s probably the most aesthetically pleasing hotel i’ve been to) but it falls short.

Buffet Food is repetitive, the breakfast is woeful. We arent fussy eaters but it was the same food every night and half of it wasn’t even labelled so it was a mystery what you were about to eat. The buffet is hardly topped up too so the food ends up lukewarm.

The pool bar however, food is great quality and tastes good but sadly it was only available 3-6, the guys serving at the bar are helpful aswell and cant do enough for you - by far the best food at the hotel.  You get to book a table service meal, i’d book the italian restaurant because the morrocan restaurant was 100% just cold food from the buffet that they went and got, they served it on a fancier plate for us - it was really poor.

Gyms in great shape if you want a workout in. However the indoor pool is paid - £25 a day for 1 person.

Conferences/Work Events are held here and it is annoying. Kind of ruins the peaceful holiday feel as there are loads of people in suits etc floating about working.

We also got locked out of our room numerous times, while this wasn’t a big deal the walk from our room to the reception to get it fixed became annoying. The Air Conditioning in the room didnt work either.

The Longue is ideal, the singer is really good and the bar staff are great. However the drinks selection for All Inclusive is poor and you need to pay extra for some well known drinks (we were All Inclusive Plus). Special mention to Salim at the bar, his service is superb and he is really friendly. 

Another thing you need to pay for is towels by the pool, now this changed for us mid-stay and its £2 a towel a day.

Hotels in a good spot also, theres a taxi rank across the road and it cost us about £4 to get into the souks (need to haggle them down from like £20😂)

If I was to come to this hotel again I wouldnt be bothered about food, if you are looking at all inclusive places i’d go elsewhere.

A week in the Jaal Riad.

This hotel is pretty good, very photogenic, and to some extent might be accused of style over substance. Rooms are a good size, generally clean, but abit dusty,  comfortable beds, water replenished every day.  Do take the upgrade to pool view if you can. It's about an hours walk into the main square. Taxi is 50 dhm, but mostly you get stung for  100 dhm. 
Breakfast isn't great, I would expect a much better choice for a 5* , didn't want a full English, but more fruit and cereals would be good. Basics like spoons and cups needs replacing more quickly.  The area serving Morrocan bread is not very inviting, pancakes and bread were  just sitting there getting cold.

The restraunt by the pool is expensive, for non all inclusives.
Use the shopping mall behind the hotel, about 10 mins walk. Burger King, pizza and Kebabs and a Carrefour, and little restraunts along the way. 
The staff are lovely, very helpful and polite. 
Pool area is beautiful, and there are no fights for sunbeds.


Overall good, some tweaks could make it fab.

The hotel itself is beautiful and very photogenic. The holiday was not a 5 star experience, but with some small changes it could be better. 

The rooms are spacious and lay out ok, well stocked every day changed towels and water supplied. We had a garden view room and wouldn't say it was a very large balcony or any garden view, tbh. Rooms have a kettle and small fridge, take coffee or tea as not supplied only mint tea bags are supplied. 2/3 shops a simple 10 mins walk from the hotel which where a life saver due to having limited diet within the hotel. 

As others have said the staff were great, hard working and very polite. But the experience of the food and entertainment was like Groundhog day, by the end of 3-4 days was very fed up of the same options. Both myself and partner have allergies nut allergy and shellfish allergy and am vegetarian, we had to rely on the staff taking us round buffet or eating the same things day in day out as nothing was labelled in the buffet section and no soya milk.

The additional 2 restaurants where only able to do 1 within the 7 night stay and we picked the Italian but again was shocked as paid all inclusive plus that most of the items available within that restaurant had an additional charge to them. Very limited options for alcoholic drinks basic house wine and spirits again if wanted JD and coke would have to pay extra. Also was questioned on a number of occasions when ordering more than one drink per person at a time. 

Shame the spa treatments were so expensive and if I wanted to use the heated indoor pool was £25 pp per day. 

Not a 5 star all inclusive experience 

We stayed here with Jet 2 holidays .
It was a swift transfer from the airport ,about 15-25 minutes .
The hotel is a real wow on arrival ,beautiful architecture and  with a wonderful welcome from staff .the hotel is peaceful and tranquil .
The staff delivered our luggage to the room and we ate lunch having arrived just before 12.00 midday .
The customer relations staff RANIA and AIMEN were the difference between a good hotel and a great hotel ! and we became good friends .They are kind ,attentive and caring and made our holiday special . Customer service solid gold. We were sad to go home Rania in particular felt like a member of our family.
Changing money is difficult in morocco once you change it into Dirhams it is virtually impossible to change it back into pounds even with an elusive receipt from a bureau de change  Only Euros are accepted in the airport duty free.
 Small denominations are harder to get hold of for tipping ,however occasionally the reception will change a 100 dirham note for 20s. Our Cards didn't work on Jet2 reps card terminal to book excursions so we paid cash and booked with the hotel instead . There is an ATM in the hotel reception which is good .
The hotel can get you a taxi and the price to the old town/medina is about 50-70 Dirhams ,set your price before you get in .The return in the evening rises to 100 Dirhams .The food is visually spectacular ,colourful and well presented . I ate the tagine and cous cous a few times but it was available every day.
The Indian food nights was good  and much enjoyed .Chef Youssef was often available for feedback in the restaurant. The girls on the restaurant reception were great always nice smiles and good sense of humour.
The only negative I can say about the hotel is that it is on the main flight path for the airport and jets taking off can often be as early as 6.00 a.m.  ,on a Sunday the flights were approx. every 3 minutes all day long. It is often a stayover hotel for cabin crew .
There is a shopping mall behind the hotel(about 10-12 minutes walk) with a large Carrefour supermarket ,a burger king and ice cream parlours ,and several clothes shops and a toy shop .

We’ve just returned from a 3-night break with Jet2 Holidays. I’d read mixed reviews before going, so I thought I’d share my own experience.

Visually, the hotel is beautiful—everything is very picturesque.

Location: It’s close to the airport, and yes, planes do fly overhead. However, I had no issues with this, as I understood it would be the case when booking a hotel nearby. No complaints there. As others have mentioned, there’s a small mall with a supermarket about a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel, which is handy for snacks and ice cream, as there is no on-site shop for snacks.

Staff: No major complaints, although the manager was never around when we needed assistance accessing the safe. At a 5-star hotel catering to UK holidaymakers, I would have expected a better level of English from the staff. That said, some of the bar staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond.

Breakfast: We were on a bed and breakfast basis, and the offering was quite disappointing. There was no fresh fruit; eggs and bread were the best options. It felt like corners were being cut to save costs. For example, the “chocolate spread” was watery and unappetizing. It certainly didn’t feel like a 5-star buffet. Basic items like glasses, cutlery, and napkins were often missing. The space itself is beautiful, but it felt like a missed opportunity.

Poolside food: This was probably the best food we had at the hotel. Simple but tasty enough for lunch.

Dinner: We tried to eat at the buffet but were told we couldn’t as we weren’t all-inclusive. We offered to pay but were still refused. This seemed very strange, surely, hotel guests should be welcome to dine anywhere on the premises. We then tried the Moroccan restaurant, but the menu had only three items and no other diners. We ended up skipping dinner entirely that night.

Rooms: No real complaints. The bed was comfortable, and everything was clean enough. Our room had a bit of a musty, sweaty smell, but we got used to it by the second night. The AC worked well. A small gripe: the welcome message on the TV was addressed to someone else. We did appreciate that fresh bottled water was provided daily.

Pool: There were plenty of loungers available, which was great. However, their towel policy is strange. You’re required to leave a 200D deposit, but they only inform you of this when you request a towel at the pool. You then have to walk to reception to sort it out. Not very efficient and definitely not 5-star service. Also, drinks are self-service.

Spa: I noticed some complaints about the pricing, but I didn’t mind paying around £90 for a 60-minute massage at a 5-star hotel. The spa itself is beautiful. However, the experience was odd—my therapist barely spoke a word and simply left the room at the end of the massage, never returning. I had to find my way out alone. When I explained this to the receptionist, I was offered a discount, but it left me confused. I had more feedback to give, but the spa manager's English was quite limited, so I couldn’t explain everything properly.

Overall, the hotel is stunning, but with a few more thoughtful touches and a better guest experience, it could be truly exceptional

Beautiful Hotel but not 5 Star

This hotel is located at the end of Avenue Mohammed VI, just a few paces from the nearest nightspots. Jemaa el Fna Square is a 10-minute drive. Marrakech Airport is approximately 5 km away. This luxurious city SPA complex offers guests a large choice of top-notch restaurants, hairdressing salon, games room, a nightclub and lounge.The younger guests are welcomed to enjoy the kids' club. On-site leisure options include indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts. A well-equipped business centre is available for business travellers. All rooms come with an en-suite bathroom and home appliances. Individually regulated air conditioning is provided in all accommodation as standard, and all units feature either a balcony or a terrace.
