Hotel is situated close to the beach, shops and restaurants but about a ten minute drive from the tourist hub at the other end of town. Check in quick and easy staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice modern hotel and great well equipped room. Nice balcony with a view of the mountains. Excellent breakfast with a huge range all included. I think this hotel is used mainly by business people which suited me no noisy tourists. Karim who works on reception was a great help with advice about everything. I had a car and most days parked right on the hotel forecourt but there is extra parking at the side.

Very good hotel

Our children booked a short break for us to celebrate our 4Oth wedding anniversary. We were greeted with roses and a special anniversary cake.
Location was great, hospitality outstanding  and such a lovely family atmosphere.
The staff were great and particularly Chaima and Ghizlane. Thank you for creating some wonderful memories for us x Mr and Mrs Ahmed

FANTASTIC

I came off a 2 week group bus tour and decided to do Agadir on my own.

I felt ripped off by this hotel and hotels.com because of their unreasonable decision.  This is the first time I used hotels.com.  I had originally booked this at home, but made a last minute change to my travel plans when I was in Morocco and had to extend my days in Agadir.  I was slated to stay there for three nights initially, but I needed 4 nights.

I admit that I made a mistake with booking my dates.  I made a mistake because I was in an area with poor, mainly non existent internet and had just injured myself when I made the booking.  I saw that only one room was available for the days I was looking at, so I booked it.   I ended up booking 5 nights in error instead of 4 nights.

I immediately contacted the hotel and asked if they could refund me.  They said I had to contact Expedia.  I learned that Expedia and Hotels.com are the same company.  I contacted hotels.com when I got to the hotel and had proper internet.  Hotels.com told me that the hotel had to agree to the reimbursement, but that it would do everything it could to negotiate.  As soon as I got home, I was informed that the hotel had refused to refund me and there was nothing hotels.com could do.  They did not even offer me a credit.  

In addition, the hotel asked me to pay a resort fee.  It was not that much money, but it is just annoying.  I know that I did see this mentioned at the time of booking.  I know these vary around the world, but this was not a resort, it was a business focused hotel, so it seemed wrong.  I spoke with a local tour guide who said that the reputable hotels in Agadir never do that because the price you pay for night is the price.  That's it. I paid in cash for the resort fee and they did not have change for me.  No one tried to track me down to give me the change and I had to go everyday to the front desk until the manager was there and finally refunded me.  

What upsets me the most about this is that I was there for four nights and ate all my dinners and one lunch in the hotel.  I tipped their staff.  I did not even care to get my room cleaned daily as I am a germophobe and clean it myself when I first get there.  I find it very disturbing that a hotel cannot recognize loyalty.

The hotel itself is not a resort.  The same chain recently opened a resort called Dominium Palace and I think reviewers confuse the two.  Flight crews and people there on business stay there along with vacationers.

The hotel is a bit aways from the beach and is not in the true marina area, so there is no direct beach access.  There is a pool, but I did not look at it because I don't care at all about that.  It is a 1.2 k m walk from a large mall, which is convenient if you need something.  The gym looked good, but I had injured myself and could not use it.  

The area of the hotel has mainly European restaurants and fast food.  I did not care for any food options there as I genuinely love Moroccan food.

This is not a good hotel for someone looking for a "beach vibes" hotel, so if you want something on the beach close to clubs and bars, you probably won't like this.  I was out doing tours from morning to night, so I was only sleeping in the hotel and having dinner, so it was perfect for me.

The hotel is very modern.  It has energy efficient hall lighting, so it only comes on (most of the time) when you walk in certain areas.  There is a convenience store, a nice cafe with a large patio and indoor seating and a very good restaurant.  There is not much signage in the hotel showing where things are, so you either wander or you have to ask since no once was really volunteering information.

I booked a fairly basic room and it was spacious, uncluttered, had a safe, modern, had loads of outlets for charging and a fridge, hot water and good water pressure.  There was a large closet and the washroom was fine.   I had a balcony, but there was no real view, so I never bothered to open the door.  The AC worked well.  The double bed is two single beds pushed together, but that happens a lot at hotels in Africa and Europe, especially where tour groups stay, so I was not surprised.  I had no issue with the comfort of the bed.  

It initially appeared clean, but then when I picked up the sheet with the TV channels, I noticed something brown on the back.  It looked like someone killed a bug with it.  A couple of days later, despite not opening the balcony, there was some flying bug in the room, which I gather may have come through the vent.

The restaurant was the star of the hotel.  Breakfast was pretty good, but if you were not in Morocco for a while or never saw the food, you might not know what things are.  I learned by trial and error and asking my tour guide. I found that in all the hotels in Morocco.  No signage about food, so you need to ask staff.  I appreciate some comments that found this to be a deficiency.

The dinners were good.  I got to the hotel late, around 8:30 pm, so only got to have dinner at 9 pm.  I was not prepared to venture out at that time, so I are in the restaurant.  The meal I had was fantastic.  It was presented in elegantly with all the lovely flavours of Morocco.  The staff were friendly and accommodating.  Excellent level of English, French and a few other European languages.  I felt welcomed and happy there, which as a solo traveler does not always happen at restaurants.  Top marks to the waiters and waitresses and the chef.

The front desk staff were not overly friendly, but they are not rude either.  It was not a linguistic thing. They are more apathetic, which I find sadly from a lot of younger people in the tourism industry in Morocco.  

 I asked for a map, but they did not have one.  I know that a few hotels these days don't have maps, but I wish they did.  I asked where a large mall was, and they told me to take a taxi.  I looked it up on my phone, and it was only a 10 minute walk.  I had to waste data to navigate there since no paper map was available, but at least I saved myself a taxi fare and got to see more of the city on foot.  My taxi experiences (as opposed to an airport transfer or private driver) in Morocco were not good (speeding, playing bumper cars with other vehicles and even people, yelling at other vehicles), so I wanted to walk as much as possible.

They were very slow with the check in, about 20 minutes, but I have seen people check in at other hotels in Morocco and they do tend to be very slow and ask way too much personal information.  I felt uncomfortable with that, but based on the information we had to give our tour guide for a two week tour, I knew that was actually normal there.  

I would have likely recommended the hotel, but the decision not to refund me and the questionable resort fee means that I cannot do that.  It was irksome and I don't want other people to be ripped off.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. I left something behind and Ghizlane forwarded it on and kept in touch to see it had reached me. Excellent service. Room was cosy, comfy beds. Good range for breakfast. Gym was modern with good range of equipment.

Close to the beach, really high level hotel and super hospitality! Even people at the bar are kind and available for any request you may need. I was there for 3 nights for a business trip and it was important having such kind of kindness and high level of confort. I already was there and I won't change next time I need to stay in Agadir.
