Got say enjoyed my stay at Valeria Jardins.
The rooms were nice and clean , the maids cleaned our rooms and changed towels every day.
The food was good , I’m not a fussy eater and I thought there was plenty of choice and the staff were nice and friendly.
The animation team worked hard and were entertaining .
The Main pool was heated and very large and deep so be careful, never saw any lifeguards?
There are two other pools ,one with slides and splash area and a quite pool which we never used.
The gardens were very nice and well kept .
Would I definitely recommend this hotel and Agadir .
The Moroccan people were very warm and friendly.

The most impressive things about this hotel was the most beautiful grounds, the enthusiastic staff who go out of their way to help and entertain always  with  a smile. The size of the rooms, the tasty food and private area of beach with beds and shade. All of which made for a brilliant holiday.

THE HONEST REVIEW - from real people!

So - We flew to Agadir from Bournemouth, and what a pleasure! We hoped this was a good sign. Less than 4 hours, we landed, bags collected straight away, and sourced our 30 mins transfer. 
Staff said we couldn't check in for 2 hours, so explored the stunning beach.

Once checked in, we were told someone would take the bags but they didnt arrive so we took ourselves. There was no lift and we were on the 2nd floor. No real big issue for us. Room was cozy, always issue to find if you look, our only one was no towels! Asked at reception and sorted. 
The staff spoke French, but sometimes explained quite quickly. It wasnt really explained what a 200 DH fee was for, we assumed pool towels. Turns out this was a tax, which we misinterpreted. We were potentially a bit rude to the staff but they were polite back and explained the situation. All sorted, and we grovelled our apology!

We went for some lunch which was full of healthy choices, although we did have to hunt down a waiter for a drink. This was a common theme, but not a major issue as there was a lot of food choices ( Will discuss food later )
Whilst at lunch, we discussed the reviews we had read, and I said we should be open minded as some were quite scathing. My responses to these are as follows

UNLESS YOU ARE FRENCH, STAFF ARE RUDE
This could not be further from the truth. We were polite and friendly with the staff and there were reciprocal. The bar staff were always smiling and helped with the range of drinks available. Menus on the bar adveritsing the 20-30 drinks. If you got drunk, or if you ordered 3 or 4 drinks per person, they may question it. If you were rude back, then yes, maybe staff wouldn't be polite. Just like it is in the UK. The waiters are very efficient, always with a smile

ROOMS ARE DATED
Rooms are fine. Yes they arent all modern and all dancing, but are cleaned daily, beds changed daily. Enough storage space, comfy beds. Yes were were near the casino. One night we went to bed early and we heard some voices. Its a holiday, people are out! No problem, just close your windows! Rooms have hairdryers, towels, shampoos and soaps. Toilet rolls replenished daily. No kettle in the room for us English, no probs, wife brought her own teabags and had them for breakfast in the dining hall. Small balcony with table and chairs. 

POOR FOOD
Breakfast lunch and dinner were excellent. All you expect to see was there. Yes there were queues sometimes, usually because people wanted the good station ( Carved meat, an omelette etc ). I found the dessert stations very very good. Yes sometimes it repeated, but more than enough overall to  choose from. If you are open minded with your food, then you'll be fine. Don't think its snails every day, but it is a lot of Moroccon cuisine. We heard gripes about "no chips or nuggets" - This is correct. However the lunch station also offered a bbq, often with burgers and pizza. If the kids ( or the adults! ) are fussy,, then I admit you may struggle for food. However, if you can eat a vegetable, rice, odd bit of fish, and untold amounts of tagine, youll be fine. There is places in a cab if desperate. Cabs cost £2/£3 to most local places of interest. £5 for places outside the city centre.

ENTERTAINMENT CATERS FOR THE FRENCH
I did some of the day time activity, and watched most of the shows. They always asked is there any English people and tried to accommodate. There English was sufficient and we were very grateful for their efforts. The shows were very entertaining and the acting/comedy/singing was evident enough to not need to understand every word. The discos were mostly English songs. Great discos! The Entertainment team were non stop. We could not commend them highly enough. Lovely people, constantly interacting with guests and putting on a performance, around the bar with their dance routines,  around the pool with the children or late into the night with the adults.

Make sure to visit:
The Souk (market) - great  bargains and local wares to be seen, aggressive sales techniques and be sure to haggle! 
The Kasbah - get the cable car up (around £10 each), camel rides and souvenirs at the top, but again, aggressive sellers, be strong! Gorgeous views. 
La Medina - take a cab, around £5 as out of the city centre, small entrance fee, beautiful architecture, amazing photograph opportunities for instagram. Only enough to see for maybe 45 mins though and then move on, dont expect to spend a day there.

We felt like we really experienced a snapshot of African culture but with the home comforts of a very well equipped and more than reasonable hotel. Met some lovely English guests and had some really great nights. Agadir is an excellent beach resort and we really recommend Valeria Jardins D'Agadir for all the normal people out there who just want to enjoy their holiday!!

The resort was clean and the gardens well looked after.  Staff were brilliant and  always helpful.  Pools were clean and the entertainment was great.
The food was nice and always a lot of choice.  Snacks were limited.  Drinks were OK, cocktails were again limited.
Really enjoyed our holiday.

This hotel is simply poor. Not a 4 star by any means of the imagination. Food is crap. Drinks are crap. Sub standard in every way and extremely disappointing. Save your money or pay a little more and go some where else, nothing special about this place.
