Bay Gardens Inn

1st time in St. Lucia. After a long transfer welcomed  very warmly by our receptionist. Easy check in and shown to our 1st floor room overlooking the pool. Loverly colonial vibe with the buildings. Room was spacious and very clean if a little dated but more than ok. Coffee/ tea/ soft drinks and beer in full size fridge👍 the only slight grumble with the room was the shower was rather poor. I spoke to others with a ground floor room and there was no issues, seems just to be a common thing on the 1st floor!

From the inn it’s a short walk over to the main part of the hotel for the bar and restaurant, which I liked as it was quite quiet in the inn. You could get drinks brought over to the inn pool if you required. Most days there were only a few people round the inn pool. There were also 3 other pool areas in the main hotel.

The restaurant was excellent, breakfast was buffet style, but on most days lunch and dinner were off a menu which I really liked as the food was cooked to order and not sat round to chill like a buffet. Great choice with all 3 courses if you required. A couple of evenings there was a bbq where the meats were exceptionally good.Staff were also fantastic and could not do enough for you. 👏

There was also a free shuttle every hour during the day to the sister hotel on the beach in Rodney bay.
We used the rep lady for a few trips and the hiring of a car for a couple of days, all excellent service again.

Loved the vibe and feel to this holiday, thank you to all staff.

Pool is amazing ,rooms probably need updating but very clean and spacious was quiet at the inn bit busier at the hotel where you had food but that suited us , the food is mostly good was not so good on a few nights but overall good the staff work very hard to make sure you have a good holiday , not by the beach but just a short walk or there is a free shuttle bus and free sun beds and umbrellas at the beach outside the bay gardens beach resort it was well worth the money we paid and would come back again

Bay gardens inn St Lucia

Check in is very late but we were able to leave our cases and explore. Very close to the mall and the Marina. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was pleasant and facing the pool. The bath area is a bit worn but ok. The beds by the pool could do with updating which seemed to be happening the day before I left. Shame you have to go to the other hotel just for drinks when lounging by the pool. Entertainment is lacking unfortunately.

I would return but to the resort

Lovely colonial vibe to this hotel, staff friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble.
Room was spacious, bathroom a bit dated and shower not much pressure.
Pool area very clean at both sites, the pool at the Inn very quiet and plenty of sun beds.
We were all inclusive but what we liked about it was not many buffets apart from breakfast you chose your lunch and dinner from a set menu and it was cooked fresh.
Great location you can walk to the beach takes about 15 mins or you take the shuttle bus which goes every hour til about 10.15 in the evening.
Hotel rep was good booked some trips and car hire.
First impressions of Saint Lucia loved it and would definitely go back

Lovely first time in St Lucia

We booked through Blue Bay Travel and stayed in March. 
On check in we was not shown all of the facilities available to us, until the last few days when we discovered another pool area which was more peaceful.
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable but the bathroom could do with updating. 
The food on most days was al la carte ,we actually prefer buffet style as you can see the food which was ok but lots of spice. Although the staff were very nice the service was very slow and sometimes we felt ignored. 
If you are all inclusive please check with your tour operator what is included as we had the same colour band as other guests but they had more entitlement's than us when using the beach hotel, we only had the use of the beach area and sunbeds.
Definitely need more umbrellas around the pool areas as lack of shade.
The bar ran out of diet coke after a couple of days and they kept saying there was a supply shortage but the other hotels and supermarket had some! Other beverages were also not available.
We would rate this hotel as either a 2 or a maximum 3 star hotel.
The actual place  (Rodney Bay) was very nice but very expensive.   
If you need to ring reception or speak to reception for anything and they say they will call you back, don't hold your breath as you will have a long wait!  
On the basis of the above we don't think we will be staying at this hotel again.

Reduit Beach is a 10-minute walk away or alternatively, there is a shuttle bus throughout the day.
