Pool

Stayed a week in this hotel.
It's in a lovely location near the beach and bars but the photos are deceiving as its not actually on the beach there's a noisy road inbetween.
We paid for a Seaview balcony room but arrived late at night and the room wasn't good.
The balcony was at the side facing a building and three large air con fans which were very noisy. I didn't get any sleep.
Asked at reception the next day and were offered a choice of rooms.
The room we chose was lovely with a good size balcony overlooking the beach and pool number 318.
Our maid was so friendly and helpful and kept our room clean.
There's a nice terrace to have breakfast. 
The food is very repetitive at breakfast. 
Didn't have dinner there.
Small supermarket nearby and large supermarket up the hill. Lots of restaurants, recommend the Asian. The food amazing.  Others not so good.
Loved the area and for what we paid it was worth it.
Bus stop around the corner. Can pay on bus but much cheaper buying tickets at kiosk on the strip.
Walked into old town once but not a very nice walk. 
Hotel is quite dated and rooms lack a fridge but clean and comfortable.

Good location

We stayed at the hotel Komodor Dubrovnik as part of a group tour for 2 nights 14-15th October, 2024, leaving tomorrow.
Glad to leave as this is a shabby, old hotel purely trading on its location.
Firstly the ridiculous way we had to check in with our passports was not very efficient at all, this is modern times! Who needs to do that anymore?
Then the room was a disappointment,having to go up 3 flights of stairs just to reach the 1st floor! Very basic room with pathetic towels as thin as, must have been washed 100’s of time, hotel take note, it’s time to get new ones. Shower was mediocre with a small shower head that was not very efficient.
Also no fridge which leads me to the attitude of the bartender. We did ring and ask for some ice, they said to go to the bar and get some! First time my husband asked for a bucket of ice, they said that they were having a function and instead gave him 2 glasses of ice. When my husband insisted on a 3rd glass of ice he reluctantly gave it to him. Really, how pathetic.

Came back later and I asked for some more with the explanation that if you don’t have a fridge in this very ordinary hotel I needed some ice, again there was the same reluctance but eventually got some! Unbelievable, hotel komodor, it is only ice!

Breakfast this morning was adequate although could be better, to sum up I would not recommend this hotel and what you see online via the pictures is not that accurate. So if you want to stay in this part of Dubrovnik I would recommend you look elsewhere

Very poor hotel - trading purely on its location!

The view from our balconey overlooking Lapad Bay was stunning.   The room and ensuite were adequate  with comfy beds.  No kettle, mini frig or safe in the room.   Staff were  helpful and friendly - Anita helped us plan several day trips both coach and boat. The No.4 bus stops just around the corner where 2.50Euros each will take you to the Old Town of Dubrovnik.   Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style with plenty of choice.

Fantastic location, the staff were lovely, we did have an issue with our room as we really wanted to have a balcony/french windows to sit outside but we were given a room in the annex with a window that opened only  a little bit, being claustrophobic this was not ideal at all, the reception staff managed to change our room (with a lot persuasion and pleading) and it was perfect, it opened straight onto the terrace by the pool, we were not even bothered it was a twin room either because the view was beautiful.
The bus to the old town is right round the corner of the hotel, leaves every 15 minutes and cost 2.50E - easy peasy
The evening food was sadly tepid and a bit bland so we only ate dinner once, ( that was the first night as we were tired) breakfast was ok and it did the job, again though it was a bit tepid but ok.
Would definitely use this hotel again though purely because of the location and ease of getting around the area, it is not high tech and it is  a bit tired but who cares, Dubrovnik was gorgeous and as long as we had a clean bed, that suited us just fine.

30 mins from airport, small hotel overlooking pebble beach (sand shoes required due to sea urchins), this small hotel delivers a quiet ambiance, rooms are dated and small but the area is well worth it. You are a few minutes away from the beach and numerous restaurants,  the food was buffet with a small selection of ok food, with at least 4-5 main course meals and a standard range of puddings. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The best shop is up the hill and turn left, 
it's a big b&m type supermarket,  check out the cakes. Bring your own kettle. Any questions you ask I will do my best. 

Presently surprised
