Just returned from a lovely week at this hotel. Everything was smooth from booking process,  check in, flights, transfers and hotel check in all booked with TUI. Absolutely no complaints. 

The hotel is very nice. I’d say some areas need abit of attention but on the whole it was lovely. 

The WiFi is excellent. Never had any problems. 

We had a sea view family room but there was only 2 of us staying in it. I think it would be snug if the other 2 in the room were teenagers as there isn’t masses of room to get around.  There is a good amount of storage and plenty of hangers. We had an added bonus of sun loungers and a table and chairs on our terrace and it was a game changer for us. 

Fridge, kettle, safe in the room all great. A lovely bathroom. The shower gel provided was nicer than the Molton Brown we had taken with us so that speaks volumes. 

You will never starve in this hotel that’s for sure. The restaurant is open alot of the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus there is always sandwiches and cakes in the bar area and hot snacks near the pool to help yourself to. 

I started this the day before leaving the hotel and was going to say there is no swim up bar which is advertised - however we just found another pool area we had no idea about and there is a swim up bar!!! The other pool is like a whole other village with lota more rooms. The indoor pool was closed when we arrived but opened on 1st April.

The gym didn’t open until 9am which I think is alittle late. It wasn’t manned so I don’t see why the door can’t be unlocked earlier. It meant I didn’t have time to go before breakfast. I think in summer it opens about 8.15am which is alittle better.  Also this area need a refurb, the equipment is old, rusty and not very clean. It’s also not air conditioned there was just a single unit to turn on yourself in a corner but didn’t cover the whole space. 

All staff are really friendly and will go out of their way to help you. 

Entertainment was just ok. Some nights were worse than others. If felt alittle bit like Haven. We didn’t sit in the main room (we sat in the bar outside but you could still hear it).

Bar staff are really friendly and ready to top you up when you are running low. 

2 small  comments (I don’t want to call them complaints) … our room was located opposite the staff room and as they start early they are particularly loud. I think it would be better for their room to be relocated as the walls are very thin so as soon as they arrive you are woken up.  Also the air con in the rooms wasn’t good. During the night was very hot. We had air con running and the temperature never dropped below 20 which felt very hot. Especially when you are using hair dryers abs straightners in the room. 

During the stay, it was my partners 60th birthday. The staff were so lovely. They gave us a bottle of champagne and glasses for the room and the ala carte made an extra special effort.

The ala carte restaurant was so good we actually paid to return on our last night. It wasn’t cheap to return but was worth it. 

Overall a lovely hotel and would return in a heartbeat. 

Tip - bring an insulated mug and a water bottle would be handy too. To keep your drinks hot warm and your cold drinks cold. Also as the tea cups are small it’s an added bonus to have a bigger Tea / coffee in the morning. I also bring my own tea bags. 

Also a note. Taxis are expensive. 3.5 miles for 2 of us was €14.

An excellent stay and would return

The rooms where spotless , the food was top nosh , all the staff where  very helpful , from the time we arrived till we left , the resteraunt staff inter acted with you shook hands even the managers always managed a chat with you, wherever you sat and had a drink , the service was a 100% our first time in Cyprus and definately not the last at this hotel , Thankyou all for making our stay so welcoming . OurStay Atlantica Sungarden Hotel

Really nice hotel, food, rooms, staff all really good no issues at all. Plenty of choice even for the picky eaters, different food theme every night and kids are with chicken nugget, fish fingers chips etc
Top pool has a snack bar pizzas and burgers 10-6 you will never go hungry.
Entertainment ok not the best or worse I have seen , what you would expect from a 4 star hotel

Still here 10 nights in to our 2 weeks away

Currently wrapping up a 7-night stay at the Atlantica Sungarden Beach in Ayia Napa, and while the location truly is something special—right on the seafront by the love bridge and sea caves—the overall experience has been disappointing in more ways than one.

The good? The views and setting are stunning. You can walk straight from the beautifully-kept gardens to the cliffs and sea caves for sunset, and the pool areas are clean with a good amount of loungers. It’s the kind of place where you want to relax—but unfortunately, that’s where the positives start to thin out.

The food situation is the biggest letdown. It’s a buffet setup, crammed into a space far too small for the number of guests. The chefs do their best, and the variety attempts to change daily with different “theme” nights, but most dishes are lukewarm at best. There’s no live cooking or “made to order” options like you’d expect from a supposed 4-star resort, and children’s options are limited and repetitive.

The dining room itself is chaotic in the evenings. You feel rushed, pushed through like a conveyor belt of people just trying to grab a table and eat before being moved on. The staff here are polite enough, but visibly overwhelmed and under-supported.

Sadly, the staff experience across the resort is mostly negative. Apart from a few friendly faces, most are either uninterested or just plain rude. The reception desk in particular was no help at all. Ask for excursion advice or local restaurants, and you’ll be met with confusion or disinterest, like you’re bothering them just by asking. There’s a real lack of warmth or hospitality here, which is such a shame when the location has so much potential.

Rooms are okay, but the pillows are shockingly uncomfortable, either rock solid or weirdly lumpy, and when we asked for an extra, we were told there were none available. Seriously? At a 4-star resort? Not good enough.

Also worth noting: the drinks are abysmal. Cocktails are either overly sweet or completely wrong (if they’re made at all), and the spirits taste watered down or just cheap. You’d be better off walking down to a local bar for something drinkable.

Daytime snacks are almost non-existent—cold pizza slices and tuna wraps that feel like an afterthought—and the entertainment is barely worth mentioning. A couple of singers and a short kids’ disco with miserable-looking entertainers don’t exactly scream “fun holiday vibe.”

There are football and volleyball areas, but with no equipment to use, you’re expected to bring or buy your own. Even small details like this show a lack of care or guest consideration.

All in all, we came for a relaxing beach break, and while the views tried to deliver, the rest of the stay fell far below expectations. From the uncomfortable beds to the lackluster food and dismissive staff, it just doesn’t feel like a place that values its guests. There’s definitely potential here—but without serious improvements in management, hospitality, and basic comforts, we won’t be returning.

A beautiful setting wasted by poor service and underwhelming everything else.

Beautiful Location, But Let Down by Basic Comforts and Service

We have just spent the last 2 weeks at this hotel. The 2 pool areas have plenty of sun loungers, the quieter pool down the bottom with the adults only pool and a larger one for family’s at the top, which has music playing and a lovely snack bar which has pizza chips nuggets and burgers from 10 till 6. Staff always happy to help and at dinner they could not clear your table quick enough. Same with the pool area. Staff always walking around clearing food and drink. We had a sea view room in the main hotel. Rooms are a good size and have a separate room divided by sliding doors for the kids.  Nice beach is a 5 minute walk away if that which has some water sports and peddle boats. The views from the hotel are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it. Only negative I could possibly give was the female life guard at the top pool didn’t leave her seat the whole time we stayed and just sat talking on her phone which obviously isn’t ideal when she’s looking  after the kids pool. Everything thing else was perfect and we didn’t have any problems.

Family holiday
