Booking in at reception seamlessly the room was very clean and spacious we were overlooking the water park which was very nice.The rooms were cleaned daily. The complex was clean and the staff were very friendly throughout. The lifeguard in the main pool was friendly and very helpful he was the go too man .Bar  staff very friendly and drinks  ok. Food  and snack bar started really well but began to go downhill as things were shutting down .Snack bar closed  2 days before our departure and one bar closed.Food became very poor quality not much selection. On our last day of departure only given continental breakfast  no lunch provided and all the hotel closed at 3 pm and we were not being picked up until 20 :35 . This is  unexpectable as we paid for a 7 day all inclusive holiday and were not informed prior that the hotel was shutting on the day of our departure on the 31/10.

Good and bad

We arrived at the Cyprotel Faliraki on October 19th for a 10-day stay, meeting with family and friends who were already there and some who came later. In total, there were 26 of us.

I will list the positives and negatives below.

**Positives:**
- The entertainment team was excellent.
- Breakfast was enjoyable (though there were no omelettes).
- The snack bar was convenient.
- The pools and water slides were great.

**Negatives:**
- The evening food was cold and unappetizing.
- The drinks were of poor quality.
- The rooms were not cleaned properly, and the sheets had stains.
- The bathroom was small, and the drain had a sewage smell.

Summary of the holiday.

I always believe a holiday is what you make it and always take out the positives as much as you can, and all family and friends on this holiday did just that. We took advantage of the pools and the water slides, and I enjoyed the breakfast, especially every other day when they would make pancakes. The children in the group looked forward to those days. The snack bar was good and had a good selection and ice cream. I thought the food at the snack bar was hotter than the evening food and lovely doughnuts made fresh from 14:00, and we all looked forward to them and would eat them back at the pool. And I have left the best until last. The entertainment team made the holiday for us as we interacted with them, especially the aqua gym, which we all tried to join in and have as much fun as possible. 

During my stay at Cyprotel Faliraki, I encountered significant issues that must be addressed. The evening meals were chaotic, which was surprising given that we were visiting at the end of the high season. I had read reviews mentioning that we often had to wait for cutlery and plates, severely impacting our dining experience. As a result, the food was frequently served at varying temperatures—either warm or cold, depending on how long it had been sitting out. Over my 10-day stay, I only found about three satisfactory meals. I returned for more of those specific dishes, and considering I'm not a fussy eater, this was unacceptable and quite disappointing. Changes are necessary to enhance the dining experience for future guests. 
On several occasions, we were forced to return our drinks due to their poor taste, which was clearly due to the syrup tap needing replacement. We were also frustrated to find out that they had run out of vodka and gin and substituted them with different spirits without prior notice. This lack of communication is unacceptable.
The rooms are very basic, which is fine for a holiday since I prefer to spend more time outside of them. However, the cleaning service was inadequate. For example, one morning, we stepped out for just 15 minutes because my wife wasn’t feeling well, and when we returned, the room had supposedly been cleaned. However, it was clear that all they did was make the bed.

I have included pictures to demonstrate the issues we encountered. There was a hole in my bed sheet that was there upon our arrival and remained by the time we checked out. Moreover, the bottom sheet had an unsightly stain, and the condition of the bathroom shower curtain was unacceptable—look at the pictures.

The most concerning issue was the drain in the bathroom. It emitted a foul sewage smell that permeated the entire room, forcing us to cover it with a towel to block the odour. This level of cleanliness is not acceptable for any accommodation.

We all agreed that we had a great time, thanks to our ability to enjoy the experience and stay positive. Nevertheless, our family and friends clearly stated that they would not return to Cyprotel Faliraki without substantial improvements. The rating should be revised to no more than 3 stars.

Could be so much better.

Family trip with 2 small kids.

Good experience, amazing staff

We stayed as a family of 6 with children aged 1 and 3.

The hotel is a great location around 5 minutes drive outside of Faliraki. There’s a land train that stops at the hotel that can take you into Faliraki or parking spaces for car hire. A few restaurants, bars and a shop are within short walking distance. Faliraki beach is great. Also found a lovely bar at Anthony Quinn bay. 

The rooms are dated but spacious and clean. Fridge and safe came in handy and pool towels can be requested from reception. 

We found this to be a fun hotel with great options for pools, slides and entertainment throughout the day and evening. The kids loved the face painting and mini disco each night, and the bubble party on one of the days. Never had an issue getting sun beds although if you wanted the best spots you need to be down early. We’d often go to the waterpark pool in the afternoon and always able to get beds here. 

All inclusive does let the hotel down slightly in terms of choices available. Non branded soft drinks and limited hot drinks options. Cocktails were ok and we liked that beer was at a separate bar to keep queues down. All drinks at meals are self serve. Although the food in the main restaurant all tasted great there were a small amount of options available and desserts were very limited. Queue for pizza seemed unnecessary and I’m sure this could be better managed. Snack bar by the pools is very popular and can often run low on stock. The benefit of being close to town is that if you get bored of the food you have other options close by. 

Overall we enjoyed our stay and love the island of Rhodes and its rustic charm. If you have kids they will definitely have fun at this hotel.

Fun hotel

Just arrived home from 7 nights at Cyprotel. Family of 4 with 5&8yr olds. We had a good time and the children loved it but I feel it’s definitely a 3 star not 4, if you are looking for a fun low priced hotel great, but don’t expect luxury.

The main pool is where all the action is, aqua fitness brilliant. There’s a bar there that opens 10am. The other pool is always very quiet, it’s deep and I think it puts people with children off. The water park is good, children have to be 6 or over to go on the slides and this is monitored by wrist bands. The water seems to have turned our costumes yellow, not sure if it’s the chemicals. The pools are all cleaned first thing in the morning.

We had a family room overlooking the water park, air con works brilliantly but the room was very dated, the bathroom flooded when you used too much shower gel, the towels weren’t replaced each day so we had to go and get some from reception on several occasions. A kettle is provided and 4 x small bottles of water, but it isn’t replenished and there’s nothing to make tea/coffee etc with, no cups if you want I’d take your own cups and coffee etc. I wish we knew this before hand. There is a hair dryer, not powerful but works! Luckily you just sleep in the room so none of this bothered us too much.

Myself and husband took it in turns to get up at 6am for sunbeds, after a couple of days and still not getting a good spot by the main pool, we got up at 5 and finally got some decent ones. This didn’t bother us but can see how it can. There are always sun beds in with the water slides.

I booked Cyprotel Faliraki as read good reviews about gluten free food - important for us as myself and 2 children all have coeliac disease. We had to book our food the day before from a special menu. They didn’t disappoint - fresh pizza/chips/pasta dishes everyday, sadly no desserts though but ice-cream gluten free which children ate plenty of from snack bar.

None of the food in the restaurant is labelled, I haven’t been anywhere that hasn’t labelled before, usually the hotel would list the allergens or even the name of the dish but there is nothing, this is frustrating and something that could easily be rectified. My husband had what he thought was chicken one day and it was pork, luckily not a problem for him but could have been for someone else. He ate well from the snack bar & restaurant, mainly some kind of chicken/chips/pizza/donor meat combination.

Cocktails and beer is good - although I wish i’d taken our own cups. Great views from rooftop bar & restaurant.

The entertainment team is what makes this hotel great - Maddie, Anastasia & Boogie are absolutely lovely, as well as the whole team. On our last night we watched the Michael Jackson show which was awesome.

We couldn’t get late checkout and as our transfer was at 7:50pm this was annoying. We were told the hotel was fully booked and it just wasn’t possible. This was the same for all the people we spoke to leaving. The hotel did let us use a shower room before our transfer and we borrowed a friends room to put our valuables in.

There was a sickness bug while we were there, none of us caught it luckily but very careful not to eat salad or drink the tap water.

Overall I cannot complain for a cheap break away (although had I paid more I’d have been frustrated!) my expectations were possibly too high and it didn’t live up to them, the hotel is “ok” keep your expectations lower and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

It’s the staff the make this hotel was it is - you’re all fabulous.
