Overall the holiday was ok, but the hotel is definitely not a 4*. It will need some good improvements to get there… such as better drinks in all inclusive, nicer staff, some improvements in the rooms and definitely a better entertainment! 

Drinks… cocktails poorly done with cheap drinks. 

Staff…most staff looks unhappy. It’s clear that they don’t like what they’re doing.

Entertainment…Is that your idea of entertainment? Team looks lost, the mama mia show was poorly done, terrible playback and pitchy vocals. Team looks more interested posting on social media, than actually entertaining.

Not a 4*

I thought it might be helpful to advise future holiday makers of the following: 
There is a €100 refundable deposit for the room, payable on check in. You can pay by card for this. However you will need cash for the safe (€3 per day), the city tax (€4 per night per adult guest) and a refundable deposit for the towels (€20 euros per towel). We got caught out by this and had to withdraw quite a lot of cash from the ATM at some exorbitant conversion charge (thanks to the bank!) Room check in time is 4pm although you can use the hotel facilities if you arrive earlier. 

By way of a quick review, this is very much standard all inclusive fare. I had no problems with the staff, the room, the food, the drinks, either of the pools, can’t comment on the entertainment. It’s not luxurious but it is functional and we had no complaints.

Bring cash!

i came for my 21st birthday with my best friend and honestly all staff were so helpful and welcoming especially patricia she was always happy to answer any questions i had she went above and beyond, the hotel itself is lovely the room we had included a living room and kitchen which made our stay even more better alongside with the food which was included in the all inclusive.

best hotel experience ever!

Check In/Check Out - arrived late morning, but not able to get our room until almost 4pm. On leaving we were to be waiting on the main Street for 7:40am. The restaurant opens at 7:30am but we were told to inform reception the day before and they would arrange a pastry and drink to take away prior to opening. When we went to reception we were informed by an incredibly rude young lady that we had 10 mins and that would be sufficient, therefore we’re not entitled to a breakfast parcel and drink to take away. 

Food & Drink - the restaurant always had a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast comprised of full ranges of cooked, continental, baked, cereals, fruit etc. Lunch and dinner had soups, salads, meats, fish, pizza, pasta and deserts. As expected for AI, you’re not getting cordon bleu, but the food was satisfactory and plentiful. AI wines and cocktails were awful, but the lager was OK. 

Rooms - rooms were quite dated, but well equipped and immaculately clean (as was the whole hotel). We had a suite which comprised of a twin room with comfortable beds and pillows, a lounge area with sofas, dining table and tv, a kitchen and a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, toilet and bidet. Balcony was so tiny it wasn’t worth having. Toilet broke the first night and was repaired by lunchtime the next day. 

Pool area was kept clean and loungers always available. Only issue was the animation team, whilst doing a great job with the kids, had the volume up way beyond being able to zone out and read a book, for those who don’t have children.  

Staff - Patricia on reception and most of the Maitre D’s were pleasant, polite and helpful, and the animation team seemed to be doing a great job. However in general, a number of staff appeared disinterested in their work and were blunt and unhelpful.

3* at best.

My review is not negative but want to point out a few things 

1. The hotel is not near the beach it’s at least a 25 min walk - if you like a beach holiday this hotel is not for you . 

2. You need to pay a 100 Euro deposit for your room - also a tourist tax fee which is payable at check in . 

3. You have to pay to use the in room safe 

Ok the good stuff 

This is the cleanest hotel and well organised I have been in for a while the staff were very friendly - no issues getting drink .

Surrounded by delightful gardens, this modern hotel is situated in a great setting, only a 10-minute walk from the beaches of Praia da Oura and Praia da Santa Eulália, two of the most beautiful beaches of the area. The famous Albufeira strip with its countless restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and nightclubs is only minutes away, the historic old town of Albufeira can be easily reached.
