RAPIST RECEPTIONIST! We went there with my friends and the receptionist sexually assaulted my friend! The owner of the hotel said “ can’t blame him as men will be  men”! We Have proof of everything! Wouldn’t change our room when we were scared he’d come back! He tried breaking into our room numerous times as he had a spare key kept ringing the phone!  Went to detectives! tried to bribe us with lollipops to keep quiet about the situation!  Do not go here at all! Completely degrades  women and would never feel safe with  family here!

Nice hotel not far to walk to the sea, its all down hill and taxi is low price to come back. Decent rooms for the price. No complaints.

Nice Hotel in a Good Location

We were at this hotel because the Luna Solaqua was closed for the month of January. It was ok but I certainly would not recommend it. Maria, the manager, was the best “thing” about this hotel. She was friendly and helpful.  The hotel is worn and tired. Our 1 bedroom apartment was spacious and met our needs but there were problems that needed repairs (e.g., the fridge, the drain, the wifi which was horrible for the whole month). The hotel is conveniently located for shops etc, but it’s in a very noisy location (street traffic).  The cleaning staff, probably overworked, did a very perfunctory cleaning, never in the kitchen area. We were there a month and the sink and bathtub were not cleaned around the edges. We bought cleaning supplies to do this for ourselves. The self serve laundry is wonderful! The indoor pool is nice to have during the winter but it is in a grotto-like basement area with condensation dripping onto everything. A railing next to the steps to get into the pool would be a great safety feature. The parking was chaotic as people were not mindful of designated parking spots (they ignored the lines) and vehicles were parked in disabled parking spots without disability signs in their vehicles. There was a nice gym and some services such as a hairdresser and spa. Budget friendly, it will meet your needs but we won’t be back.

We were booked into the hotel Luna Sol Aqua which wasn’t open so we were moved to this hotel. 
The staff were pleasant on arrival and as requested were given an apartment with a double bed at the front of the hotel which got lots of afternoon sun on our balcony.   The room was spacious and clean but tired and in need of an update.  The indoor pool was dark and depressing.  It was very damp and the walls and ceiling were dripping  wet and very unpleasant to be in. Yes you do need to wear a swimming hat!!!
The outdoor pool at the back of the hotel was just a rectangular shape and totally uninspiring with very little sunshine ☀️The bar opened 10am til 6pm so you cannot get a drink outside of these hours. The pub and restaurant was closed.
The hotel is on a busy road on a large roundabout and is 10 minutes walk to the strip and 30 minutes to the old town and as the area is hilly it certainly kept us fit 🤣🤣 Taxis to the old town approx 5 euros.
There is a supermarket across the road and bus stops, and a lovely bakery 2 minutes down the hill.  Uzonj and Memorias restaurants are well worth a visit both 5 minutes walk. 
Would we return? No definitely not!

Tired hotel in a poor location

We were originally booked in the Luna Solaqua for a little break after Xmas.  At the beginning of December we were informed that this hotel was not going to be open for the week we were travelling (1-8th Jan).  This holiday was booked at the beginning of 2024! EasyJet informed us that we had been transferred to their sister hotel Luna da Oura.  DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! If you are a couple or a family.  It is primarily used for hen and stag weekends! we appreciate the hotel is old but….. the main hotel has no double beds.  We had two singles, the kitchen was very dirty with ground in stains and chips in the work tops, chipped cupboards, dents everywhere and cracks in the fridge.  The bath needs ripping out and replacing, ground in tide marks around the bath with lots of limescale around it, a grimy mouldy seal around the shower screen.  To be honest there are too many negatives to list.  When we complained to the manager who was so lovely and helpful, I felt her frustrations and felt so sorry for her! she explained that unfortunately their clientele does nothing but trash the hotel on their hen and stag weekends.  No sooner that they replace something it’s broken.  However this is a separate issue.  For allegedly a 4* hotel The swimming pool they show in the picture does not actually belong to the hotel.  The hotel’s swimming pool is outside on the first floor and is very shaded there is no little pool for children.  There was also no where to get food or drink in the hotel.  We did see a bar but it was never open.  These are not facilities for a 4 star hotel.  We were moved to another room which was a-bit better and cleaner than the first, and we had a double bed.  Although the shower didn’t work properly and the doors wouldn’t shut properly.  On one occasion we came back one day and our door had been left open !! I assume by the cleaner.  Anyway I could rattle on about several more issues but my recommendation is if you are a couple or family do not book here.
