Pool

1st of all not at all near the beach as described. Was an extremely long walk and we took a cab on occasion. Apartment itself was ok. No electric kettles in what is a self catering apartment. Not suitable for disabled or people with limited mobility as we were put on 1st floor and was really hard for me to climb up there every day, Phone in our room didnt work. Didnt find reception very useful only had 1 query and the receptionist knew less about the area than i did! Wouldnt choose to stay here again. Much too far away from centre and restaurants and beach.,

Far away

first of all -rooms allocated were not as booked and had to organise a room change!! all inclusive food was dreadful, I am gluten intolerant and was extremely limited with options available, food not very warm in fact COLD on more than one occasion!! not as close to beach as advertised long walk, I have stayed all inclusive many times and this was by far the worse.  Limited times for ice creams? had to ask for snacks in the afternoon? some of the staff need to learn customer service? entertainment twice weekly? .  POSITIVES - the rooms were cleaned and beds changed every 3 days - cant really think of any other positives

food awful

We really liked this place. Family with young teens. Was looking for a quiet area out from town but close to amenities.  Spent a week here, didn't spot any evening entertainment although it could have been the nights we didn't go into hotel. 3 bedroom apartment block away from main area but right by a big pool which was a much quieter pool than the main one by the hotel reception/bar, easier to get chairs at quiter one. Other one usual towels on chairs but no one in pools, made a few trips to this one for a change but rarely and loungers so left again, need more loungers or someone checking amount of chairs with towels/bottles or shoes left on them verus the amount in the pool or bar area. Very well kept place and very clean, all pool areas lovely and clean and toilets too. Bar food nice, had our own breakfast in apartments. cleaning staff around daily, sometimes we hadn't left apartment when they would knock so we explained we were OK but always left clean towels and toiletries,  very helpful and friendly but little English. Loved our 3 bed apartment,  newly refurbished, only thing missing was a kettle. All appliances working. Lovely balconies. Only real issue was noise at night from streets, need better windows, can hear people on road walking by, cars and people taking outside apartment. Situated in a quiet area, nothing right by it, no hotel shop. I'm a quick walker so took 5 mins to Spar shop and probably under 10 to Praia da Rocher strip, bit hilly pebbly walk, not smooth. Beach access here but nicer beach area towards the right. You can go onto beach by Irish Rover pub and continue walking to nicer quieter beach area or walk to the right in town, and eventually go down some steps, can walk for miles. Lovely area down this direction, far nicer. We walked all the way to Vau beach, beautiful. Hotel also has a tennis court which we paid small fee to use a few times. Got uber to slide and splash, €12 one way.  Safe area as key card required  to access. Would return again if windows replaced, a good night sleep is a must

Fab spot

We arrived at 11am, to be told check in wasn't until 4pm. Fantastic with a family who have been travelling since 2am.
We go back to the reception at 345 to try our luck- 1 room was ready but the family room was not. 
When the room was ready, finally at 515, it was still dirty with the previous clients hair left under the dressing table and next to the bed.

The rooms although booked together, were nowhere near each other. 

The hotel advertises entertainment throughout Summer, 8am-12am. The only entertainment on offer is Aqua Zumba on a Tuesday and Saturday afternoon and a live singer also on a Tuesday and Saturday evening. 

No kids clubs or entertainment for children. 

Breakfast was poor, OK if you enjoy eating food that has had flies all over it. 

Pool was nice, cold at first but you get used to it- could do with the missing tiles at the bottom being replaced so you don't stub your toe.

No shop on site, all boarded up. Noisy area around 11pm. 

Close enough to the local strip, a 10 min walk but not unpleasant, close proximity to Portimao. 

Beds comfy and pillows. However, pillows are the size of a placemat and its 1 each. 

Staff were mostly nice and the snack menu food on offer was pleasant, however i wouldn't trust their all inclusive offerings.

Although sun lounger hogging is 'forbidden', it isn't policed and people are able to have their sunbeds ready for when they come back to the pool area around 4pm

We love Portugal, however we won't be returning to this hotel.

Not in a rush to return.

Great family holiday here. Spacious and clean ground floor apartment. Staff and service was great and the pools were great. About ten minute walk to the beach and strip. The only thing I thought was the 10 euro breakfast was a bit expensive. Otherwise fantastic break away. 

Great place

Walking on the beach, read a magazine on the terrace or simply stroll through the typical Algarve streets. Enjoy a pleasant stay, with many options of entertainment, cuisine and landscape offered by the region. Located just a few metres from the gorgeous Praia da Rocha, in the middle of the Algarve, the principal tourist destination in the country.
