Stayed at the Vila Gale Marina for a 2 night trip to Portugal and it was ok. Read some not so great reviews and was a bit worried about the beds but the room was clean and comfortable and we got a good nights sleep on the bed. You have to request tea and coffee making equipment but it was brought to the room promptly. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive and accommodated everything we asked for.
Breakfast was really nice, a good selection on offer and the omelettes were fab. We didn’t stay at the hotel for any other food as there is so much available in the local area.
The hotel is a little tired and dated and in need of a refurb and to my mind is a 3 star not a 4 star hotel so if you are looking for 4 star it’s probably not the hotel for you. It wouldn’t be a place I would opt for for a longer holiday but was perfect for a couple of nights and other than the decor there’s not really much I could choose to fault it.

Nice 2 day Break

Lovely hotel, very friendly and welcoming. Good selection of breakfast and evening meals. In a great position  near the beach and harbour on the door step. 
Restaurant staff very helpful and welcoming. We took a kettle which is a great idea for teas and coffee’s in the room.

The best thing about this Hotel is the location. 
The Hotel needs a complete refurb.
It’s clean but not a pleasant stay.
We got stuck in the lift one evening.
Two of our rooms had black outs for hours. 
The outside pool is lovely.
The Spa is a definitely no, no. It was disgusting.
Breakfast was lovely.
Don’t go half board, the food was awful.
I don’t go away to be served up fish fingers for my dinner.. not the price we paid.
Finally one Girl at the Reception was rude and not at all welcoming.
We would never stay here again!

Stay away!!

Stayed at the hotel on a B&B basis with my husband and another couple for a golfing trip. The breakfast had everything you could want - even made to order omelettes. We were on the 8th floor in a sea view room and the view was lovely. The balcony had a table and a couple of chairs and the sun later on in the day which would have been perfect to come back to but unfortunately the wind was a bit cold when we were there. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed and on my husband's birthday we came back to a bottle of Rose in an ice bucket and a large slice of chocolate cake with a candle in it and the table laid out with glasses and plates - a touch that was really appreciated. 
As all the restaurants at the marina were so close we ate in a different one every night.
This hotel is in a perfect position and service and facilities were excellent. We will be back.

Overall very poor in all aspects

This elegant hotel is excellently located first line to the marina in the famous holiday resort of Vilamoura on the beautiful Algarve. A large variety of restaurants, bars, pubs and shopping facilities is in the immediate vicinity, a fantastic beach is just a few steps away and invites to take part in all kinds of watersports, superb golf courses are within easy reach. The international airport of Faro can be reached within a short drive.
