This hotel is perfect. Location in the old city, fascinating history, stunning and creative decor, wonderful (non-buffet!) breakfast and the kindest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered. Stayed in the Alhambra room - so romantic! Could not recommend more highly.

Perfection in old Marbella

Based on the excellent votings on tripadvisor, we selected this hotel for a 5 day trip to Marbella. 
The location in the middle of the old town of Marbella is perfect. The building has a long and impressive history and the entire interior is just marvelous. Art and architecture are well composed and offer a gorgeous "home away from home" during a stay there.
The staff is totally focused on creating a great guest experience. Welcome and check-in in the afternoon could not have done better - very friendly and personal, while at the same time highly professional.
Due to this outstanding start we did not doubt at all that the room we got assigned (Zahara) was a very special one and carefully selected to also provide a room experience on the same level of excellence. The provided amenities in the room do have high standard. Of course in such a historical building all rooms are different. Our room was very small, directly under the roof and with windows opening to the inside patio only, so that there was no possibility to get some fresh air from the outside.
During our stay, we noticed that other rooms are quite different in space and style. So, at the end of our stay, we asked whether we could see some other rooms to compare. And yes, there were other available rooms in the same category we had booked with lots of more space and windows to the outside. As described, based on the outstanding beginning, we did not ask for another room because we were absolutely convinced that our room is a top level room in the booked category - which it actually was not. Hence, we cannot recommend to stay at the Zahara room.

Breakfast is not buffet-style, but served at the table. We understand this given the limited number of guests and appreciate the exclusivity which comes with it. However, it was not the best experience for us. My wife is on a special diet and thus had to bring some components of her food to the table by herself. As a consequence, she only required few additional items from the hotel kitchen. The morning staff significantly struggled with is, kept asking too often if she needed anything else and even commented on how my wife prepared her meal ("interesting"). While it may have meant to be "family-style", for us it was definitely "too much", too personal and rather unprofessional. 
So, to sum it up - very nice hotel, rooms (too) different and not all are good, afternoon/evening staff outstanding, morning staff not as professional as expected on that level of hotel.

A mixed experience during our stay at a gorgeous and perfectly located building

Amazing stay at one of the most thoughtfully designed boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed in.  Service was spectacular, including daily breakfast served wherever and whenever you choose.  And the location could not be better, quiet but yet 1 minute walk into the vibrant central historic center.

Absolute perfection

I don't usually leave reviews, but this hotel really deserves it. It is, without a doubt, one of the best I have ever stayed in, and I spend more than 90 days a year staying in different hotels. This was my second stay here, and once again, it exceeded my expectations.
Each room has its own style. Although we would have initially liked a view, we understood that, being located in the old town, these are limited. Even so, the view from the terrace, where you can have breakfast or dinner, is simply stunning.
This is a small hotel with a personalised service that is hard to find. We were lucky enough to enjoy breakfast on that wonderful terrace with beautiful views. In addition, the a la carte breakfast is the best I have ever had in a hotel (I recommend the "Energy" toast!).
The staff is, without a doubt, the jewel in the crown: professional, discreet, but always attentive and helpful.
This will definitely be our hotel every time we visit Marbella.

Simply Stunning

Beautiful boutique hotel in the old Town in lovely old mansion house. Very central but really quiet. Very charming , attentive service with delicious breakfast- anything you want, cooked to order and served at your table.highly recommend

Hotel Claude is a small, privately owned, luxury hotel in the heart of Marbella´s old town. This intimate and stylish boutique hotel is located within a 17th-century mansion townhouse characterized by a gorgeous and unique stucco façade. The townhouse, which used to be an artist´s club, has been lovingly and meticulously restored. All architectural and original features of the house have been preserved, and a clean, contemporary feel created.<br><br>Hotel Claude features seven rooms and suites situated around the galleries of the main patio.<br>
