Not sure that we’d go back but it was a very nice stay. Staff were great, room and bathroom spotless, pool area lovely (though people still reserve sun beds all day) great location, quiet, but close to the Main Street. We thought the downside was the evening menu, very small choice and we were told it doesn’t change all season, there is a special each evening, one night it was Rib eye steak, had it of been any thinner you would have seen through it. Luckily we paid a very small amount to upgrade to half board so we didn’t mind venturing out and we found some great restaurants around music square.

I gave my review 4☆ rather than the 5☆ I gave last year's review because of a few points. Whilst the hospitality was, as usual, impeccable,  a few little hitches at breakfast and in our room were not. We requested a ground floor room as we both have mobility issues, and we did get such a room. However,  the rooms are not very disabled-friendly. The shower could do with a foldaway shower seat, as we both felt a bit unsteady whilst having a shower. And a toilet arm could be installed.  I would say that a couple of the ground floor rooms could be furnished to cater for disabled guests, as we too like to have holidays too! 😉 
Breakfast was ,sometimes,  pretty good, but while the cold buffet was incredible as usual, the hot breakfast could have been a lot better. On one occasion, my partner asked for 2 fried eggs and got one. I asked for two poached eggs and was ultimately served with 'egg soup'! There was no way I could have eaten that, as half of the egg white was still raw! Water for the teapots was sometimes cold. The Spanish omelette was twice rather dry. The cheese omelette, though, was really good. We decided to do bed and breakfast, as there are so many bars and restaurants that you can go to, which was enjoyable.  We did a couple of days at the poolside, but only when you could actually get a sunbed! The pool rules clearly state 'no reserving of sunbeds', however,  when you went down to the pool, even at 9:30-10.00 , they all had the towels on them , thus, they had been 'reserved'! 
Having said all that, though, I would certainly come back. 


Slipped a ☆ in my review.

We went there the second time and we did not get disappointed. Since this place it is Adults Only you will experience a quiet place to relax and having a good time. The hotel is modern and stylish, the interior looks perfect and the staff is warm welcoming you and is always absolutely friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The cleaning is done perfectly, nothing to complain about. The beds are cozy. The bathroom is spacious, enough space for your amenities. There are sufficient sun beds even we had a room category with a day bed. The pool might be not the biggest but is enough to get refresh. The WiFi works perfectly all the time. The breakfast is okay, fresh juices would be appreciated. In general a good choice of everything, warm dishes a served a la carte. For half-board the main course at dinner is also a la carte. Starters and desserts are buffet, they are in general okay. For price-benefit and since the main course is not buffet also in terms of food waste we can rate this hotel for cleanness, friendliness and food in general with five points. As said - some minor room for improvement at breakfast and dinner buffet (more choices, changes). We strongly recommend this place for sure.
PS: due to dinner shifts (15 minutes an hour) the restaurant is never overcrowded. Very comfortable!

Nice place to go!

Great location. Staff very friendly, special mention to Aday in the bar. Lovely cleaning staff, so polite. The main courses in the restaurant were not to our liking but that is because we like plain food, but we either had the special or salad, we never came away hungry. Very professional staff in restaurant and well organised. Although there were plenty of sunbeds there were still a few people that put towels on and then dissappear for hours, did see a member of staff take towels off one day. Hope to return soon as had a brilliant time.

Great location

While the hotel is in a good location and the rooms pretty good, it does not represent high quality or value for money.

The air conditioning appears to be centrally controlled, despite controls in each room - we could barely get our room temperature down below 24 degrees the entire stay.  We spoke to reception, they let us try other rooms - but it remained the same.  We figured out that it was turned off overnight (just when you need it) and switched on after breakfast, but even then we couldn't get the temperature we prefer.  For two nights of our stay, we had to have the door open, which is not easy as its an opening door, not a sliding door, so you have to wrestle with the curtains to keep the light out.  Staff, while trying to be helpful, did not solve the issue.  I suspected they knew that it was limited controls for customers (certainly at this time of year).  We came in September, and this did not seem to be a problem.

The breakfast is awful.  Cheap quality ingredients, very limited choice of poor pastries and really cheap cereals.  Meats and cheeses were poor quality.  The only plus was fresh grapefruit and fresh orange slices.  The cooked breakfast, you have to order.  The app doesn't work well.  You can't order on the app.  You have to wait for the waiting staff to take your order at which time they do, you are ready to leave!  We had the cooked breakfast on our last visit and it wasn't great.  We didn't have half board as it wasn't good last time.

The spa wasn't open, so you could only use the gym - we didn't.

Thankfully, they have got rid of the plinky plonky music by the pool.  The pool was supposed to be heated - maybe a little, but all told it was clean and a good size for swimming.

One  of us likes a cigarette with our coffee in the morning and since last visit, there is no smoking on the balconies!  There are two smoking areas - a wooden bench at the front of the hotel, and some seats near the entrance to the reception.  This may be a plus for some, but this is a heads up for those who like to smoke.  These are new regulations in the Canaries, but it seems that no all hotels are that strict on this.  The staff asked us if we smoked as soon as we arrived.  Smoking seems to be allowed outside cafes still - we didn't notice anything different.  One customer remarked that its H10 that is strictly imposing these rules.

In summary, this hotel only has its location to boast about, nice and quiet and near the town.  Food is poor, air conditioning a problem and the hotel generally feels like a care home, with a lot of much older people around.  We are in our sixties but we found the clientele to be miserable and grumpy....no nice friendly ambience.

All we want from a holiday abroad is a nice room, chilled or warm enough depending on the season, a decent breakfast, good service, attentive staff and a comfy bed (which it was by the way).  For the price you pay for this place, and its shortfalls, it disappoints somewhat. Hope this helps you find a hotel that suits you.
