Pool

We spent half term February at this hotel.
Overall we had a good holiday.
Check in was OK, a little long but nothing overly dramatic. 
Hotel room was fine,not enough kitchen storage but most don't in the self catering apartments. Beds only have 1 pillow , asked at reception for extra and they were delivered to the room a few hours later. Not a great deal of kitchen ware for cooking but with only a duo hob and microwave it was manageable. Cleaners only come once in a week long stay and this was purely to change the sheets and towels. Unfortunately for us this was late into the 5th full day of the holiday so only having one towel for 5 days was a pain. Asked at reception for a towel change and was told that would cost €3 . I know its not a great deal of cash but think towels should be changed upon asking without a cost. Room was a fair size, can't really complain about too much tbh. Yes it's a bit grubby but does it affect any part of the holiday? The honest answer would be no not really. Tv didn't work in the front room but we don't watch TV anyways.
The pool is COLD. VERY VERY COLD.  What I would of given for a heated pool. Didn't use it too much as just couldn't face it. Pool bar is clean, not much of a wait on food and prices were fairly reasonable. Again nothing to complain about there. Staff were nice and Friendly and food and drinks were good. Some work going on around the hotel when we were there,it was a mild inconvenience but again doesn't really affect the holiday all that much. The hotel has a bar inside, nice bar, drinks were again reasonably priced. Not much by way of entertainment but didn't really mind. Hotel also has a shop which is slightly higher in price than the supermarkets but that's to be expected.  Has all the essentials and open 8-8 I believe.
Everything is within walking distance from the hotel. Nothing really further than 30 mins. The bus stop is about 5-8 mins walk away. 
So would I recommend the hotel?? Yeah I believe so, its just all in need of a touch up and a bloody good clean. But other than that no complaints whatsoever.  As long as your not expecting 5star there's really not much to complain about, supermarkets, the town,the ferry port are all within reasonable walking distance and I would defo visit again.

Feb half term family visit

This hotel is spot on. What you pay for is what you get. It’s clean, spacious, friendly & pretty central. Don’t listen to the other silly reviews about pettiness. You get plenty towels, toiletries, sun beds etc. cleaners might only clean once a week but no more is needed. 3 good pools. Sandy area also to sunbathe away from the main pool. Spacious apartment with plenty sheets and blankets if needed. Lots of storage. Love the fact that you get a cleaning kit- washing up liquid sponge and bin bags etc. Any thing extra needed ask at reception. 
Microwave kettle tv fridge freezer cooking hob and toaster in the apartment.  Terrance with washing line. Laundrette on site that is self service. Onsite mini market. Small gym, pool table and snack bar on site. The complex is very secure which is all walled in. One way in and one way out. Passed reception. Bike hire ask at the mini market. Parking outside the hotel. Vending machines in the hotel reception. 
Main strip is approx 5-10 walk away. Which is full of bars restaurants & shops. 
The beach is approx 10 mins walk located beside the main strip. Check is at 5pm daily. 
Every thing is pretty standard prices. Nothing is overly expensive. Shop around if need be.

What can I say. Lovely place that is clean. There are 3 pools. Plenty towels. Cleaners come in weekly. Lots of toiletries & cleaning materials.Safe is €2 euro daily. Very spacious rooms. Microwave kettle toaster and mini hob. Tv in room with plenty of sheets pillows and storage.Lovely shower with plenty hot water. Mini gym and games area. Snack bar and on site bar. Mini mart and self service laundrette on site. 5 mins walk from the main shops & restaurants. Lovely Italian opposite the hotel Nannarellas - very cheap and eat or take away. Small beach just off the main strip. Lovely beach a short bus ride away. El Cotillo. The bus station is 2 mins walk from the hotel opposite the spar. Lots of markets on during the week. See the map for more info. So many places to go and visit eat and drink. Very reasonable. Plus many souvenir shops and the best ones are in the strip on your right hand side. Lots of Chinese ones that have under ground emporiums - great bargains.no noise and security on an evening. The whole complex is secure and maintained.  Our terrace didn’t get any sun but we sat at the front instead plus there is a huge sand pit area with a volley ball on it where you can sunbathe there too away from the pool. The pool is clean but not heated. Bring a sweater for an evening as after 7pm it’s chilly. Honestly the place is ok for a holiday. Enjoy it . We did and are doing

An honest & informative review

Stayed here for cheeky week in Feb for me and my husband. Ground floor room right across from the pool was brilliant.  The apartment we had  was that we had to wait a long time as checking wasn't until 5pm we arrived at 11am so that was little frustrating.  Room was ok, although bleach smell knocked us out.  Apartment itself was clean and tidy and the grounds were a little tired bit for ok for what we paid so was wasn't too bothered. Pool was cold but very refreshing. Handy pool bar, had a few snacks and drinks by pool side bar which are good but ate our every evening. Bar inside not much cop.

Cheap Feb getaway 2025

Just home after staying at Hotel Hesperia Bristol Playa . I don't understand the bad reviews. Our apartment had all we needed and if we needed anything, reception sorted us really quickly and very friendly. In fact, we paid for the safe and the guy who showed us how to use it was there before us. He even carried my case up the steps for me Pool and pool bar was lovely. If you get an email saying you can change, I wouldn't. Loved it. My only, and i mean only negative was, at our request, had a sea view apartment but the balcony was really cold. It is winter to be fair but will ask for pool view next time x
