When reading the reviews I was hesitant at what to expect. I found the location and the views from the hotel absolutely beautiful. The beach was very close with steps down that was really lovely and we swimmed in the sea most days. The hotel itself needs a lot of work. Our room was clean and sufficient for our stay, unfortunately the last day the shower door dropped and smashed all over the bathroom with glass everywhere. I went to reception but was told there wasn't anything they could do as it was quite late. I requested a broom so I could clear the area so we could use the toilet. I was disappointed that no apology or even asking if we were ok as if we would have been in there it would have resulted in a bad injury. That said the staff at the hotel were all very nice. The animation team were fabulous. The food was good mostly all week. The pool area needs cleaning daily, this doesn't seem to happen and would help a lot. The near by town is great with good restaurants. We met some lovely people and everyone was friendly so as a family we felt safe. Please invest in this hotel to bring it back to its former glory as it really is a breathtaking location.

My partner and I arrived late at this hotel and then told by the receptionist that our room was located on floor 1. He said go to floor 2 and walk down the stairs. We thought it was in the main complex, but in the end had to go back for him to show us to our room, as it was so dark and there was no way we would have found it on our own. I would suggest having a map of the hotel and where the floors are located as there was no signs for us to follow. Our room was dated but nice even though we had a palm tree in front of us, we did get to see wildlife. 
I would also say that anyone with mobility issues would find it difficult to get around as the lifts would break down often and there are a lot of steps connecting all floors and the beach front has a lot of steps which makes accessibility an issue. 
As we explored the hotel throughout our stay we enjoyed the pools and being able to have choices of places to sunbathe. The bar in the day would usually have only two people serving drinks and there was a self service for soft drinks or hot beverages. In the night the bar is located on floor 3, but in truth it’s got stairs that lead up to it. Our main problem was that only two people were on the bar all night which left quite the queue most nights. 
The animation team were okay, but Billy was the only one who would approach most people including us. We also found that most of the events would end at half 10 and then the bar staff would have a small speaker to play music which I assumed was because the location of the bar and not to disturb other guests. The railing leading to the entertainment area needs fixing as it was very loose and would rattle while holding it. 
The local shops are about €12 in a taxi and there were not a lot of bars, however we enjoyed a walk down the street and being able to enjoy interacting with the locals. 
Our interactions with most of the receptionists were passive aggressive and we felt their communication wasn’t effective. We payed for a safe which was €50, as it was €20 for the deposit and €4:50 a day ( we paid in full and were asked to each sign paperwork weren’t told we needed to keep one as he took both copies). On our last day when we explained this to two different receptionists that were difficult to deal with addressing the issue.

Average stay at a average hotel

We stayed at the hotel in April and were impressed by the exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. The food variety and portions were outstanding, and the drinks, snacks, and entertainment throughout the day and evening were truly top-notch. However, the beach steps are steep and could be improved to accommodate elderly guests and those with height fears. Additionally, late check-out facilities could be better organized, with secure luggage storage and private changing areas for both men and women.

A GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY

The hotel is okay! just run down would have a lot of potential although no security. not in our room but heard from others ants in the room and was over pillows and witnessed 2 fights. no customer service and some rude staff and same food ever day

it’s been ok you get what you pay for

I stayed at the hotel with a friend for 5 days. I was unsure reading the reviews what to expect but I honestly found the hotel great. It’s so clean and the staff are extremely efficient, friendly and non intrusive. The location is fabulous with sea views which are breathtaking. 
The room is basic and yes dated but it was very clean and we had room service daily. The beds are comfortable and it was no problem getting extra pillows. 
We swam in the sea daily and the steps down to the beach made it really easy to access the beach. 
We took part in a few of the night time activities too which was fun.We didn’t realise there was a night time programme for a few days as it was separate from the bar! But that’s a good thing as you can just sit in the bar if you like. 
There s lots of choice food wise in the restaurant with a great variety. Sitting outside on the balcony for breakfast and lunch was fantastic. We did have food at the pool bar too. 
This hotel had plenty to do if you wanted to get involved with the animation team or just relax . 
I found it great value for money and definitely would go back there. Ideal for a short break.
