3rd time staying here and unfortunately this will be the last.

The hotel is in a great location and most ( not all ) of the staff are very polite and helpful.

The general state of the hotel / standards / cleanliness of the hotel / Quality of food has seriously gone down

The rooms even though they were updated a few years ago are now very tired and worn again.
Also paper thin walls ( you can literaly hear EVERYTHING your neighbours are doing!!! ).
The state of the bathroom was poor - see pics - Towels looked about 20 years old and had holes in them - Had to ring down to reception several times and toiletries/toilet rolls hadn't been replenished.

To keep its 3 starts it really needs to put work in as at the moment it should be a 2 star at best.

3rd time here - Would not visit again..

Used to be a great hotel now specifically for the Germans, food quality is not good English night the meat pie was a slice of sausage with gravy Very diagratory to the BRITISH no pie crust to be seen also mash potato and tuna pie never had that in the UK think the so called chef needs to be re-trained as to the food of various countries.not good at all.

We have stayed here a few times and happy to return, some of the decor in the rooms is a bit tired / dated - but this is reflected in the price point. The spa is nice, the pool is nice. Location is good. It's better if you are on a higher floor as road noise is a bit of a thing. 

Reception - friendly and polite.

Restaurant- buffet with loads of choice, no complaints regarding food. I can't imagine anyone would not be able to find something to eat there is literally 30+ dishes each night.

This is our main go to hotel when holidaying in Gran Canaria. I recommend it.

DON’T BOTHER. We have stayed at this hotel for at least twice a year over 13 years. First of all we had a nice welcome when arriving at around 20:00.  Went up to the room and the toilet hadn’t been flushed. Pillows were so hard which made it difficult to get off to sleep. Food has gone down hill a GREAT deal, just a buffet, and not very warm most of the time. The toasters are atrocious as we have to put the bread in 3 times before it browned and there is often a queue to use it. There is now a sign at the bar stating guests have to pay 50c for a glass of water. Not allowed to eat at the Palmer bar on the last day of your stay either, even with All Inclusive. Very rude staff on our last day this month. The Manager asked to see our family at reception (25th April 2025) he asked for my Passport as he didn’t believe I would hand my All Inclusive band back as in the past I have always kept it to fly back home, he recognised me from previous visits. I refused to hand my passport over to him, then he said if I refuse he will ask us all to leave right away, if we don’t leave, he said he’ll have to ring the Police. 
I have never felt so embarrassed, and to feel like a criminal. He humiliated all our family in front of all Reception staff and guests. Very childish Manager. I’m guessing he doesn’t want English families to return ever again, as reading some other negative reviews about being rude to English guests. I paid £3,800 for 4 us to stay for just a week. Never again!!

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

We’ve been coming here yearly for over 10 years now. Observed some changes over the time. Mainly for the better however this time we were left very disappointed and made the decision that this will be our last visit. 

Food. Not great. Seem to have focussed on providing Vegetarian and Vegan food reducing the number of meat options available. The vegetarian and vegan food would be fine however plain rice and peas or pasta with tomatoes is not imaginative nor appetising. 

No flow to the food buffet options so people have to stand to read the labels and try to fathom out what it is. 

Don’t know why they don’t have a separate section for vegan and vegetarian options to avoid cross contamination from tongs and spoons and other food dropping into it. 

Rules. Far too many. We’re here on holiday. We want to relax but there seemed to be more rules than ever with signs everywhere telling you what you can’t do. 

Towels and Bedding. They’ve now decided to change towels every two days and bedding every 5 days. They say it’s to help the environment however it’s another blatant cost saving tactic. This should be suggested and then be the guests choice. The towels are small and thin and poor quality. The bed has a plastic matters protector and nylon pillow and duvet protectors so you sweat during the night. I woke up daily being soaked in sweat. Not having the bed changed for 5 days is not acceptable. 

Bedrooms. They are very tired and not cleaned properly. Now they are not changing towels or bedding regularly they seem to have just the bear minimum done  if anything actually done at all. 

Corridor Noise. Horrendous. Don’t know why people choose to shout loudly in the corridors or allow their kids to race up and down the corridors screaming and shouting. Had very broken sleep. 

Overall it wasn’t a great stay. Probably ideal for families but we’ll be heading elsewhere next time.

Not What It Used To Be. Disappointed.

This attractive hotel is ideally located in the popular holiday resort of Playa del Inglés in the south of Gran Canaria. It features an outdoor pool, an excellent spa area, a gym, a restaurant and three bars. The resort centre with countless shops, restaurants, bars, pubs and entertainment options is within a short stroll; the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the beach.
