Pool

MBV staff are amazing, the pool is immaculate and studio apartments clean. Bar food pricey but tasty. 

If you love lying in the sun this is absolutely the hotel for you because there is no shade around the pool. 

There are sun shades but they offer no shade as the shadow hits a few paces behind the beds and there was only one spot where you could reliably have shade throughout the day. 

Guests were reserving sunbeds and some not returning until 10/11am and the hotel did not enforce their own ‘do not reserve sunbeds rule’ 

So if you tan up nice and wanna boil like a lobster MBV is a fantastic hotel. 

Conveniently located, 10 min walk down 150 steps, through the tunnel to port and beach. Restaurants a plenty. Hands down best two meals we had were at Costa Grill Mar (port) and Happy Vally (shopping centre). 

Adult only hotel, was nice a quiet.  You can also use amenities at sister hotel opposite that has an infinity pool and lots of families. Great to watch to watch the sunset from.

Lobster paradise

Arrived at hotel to find room wasn't ready we waited in the pool bar/restaurant which is close to reception.  This was odd as hotel was fairly empty. The low occupancy was good as there were always sunbeds available anytime during the day. Room was very spacious and clean but the beds did move around alot during the night as they were on tile floors with no rubber feet. We chose bed and breakfast option. Breakfast choices were great, but all the hot food was very cold, which guests have mentioned and the hotel has acknowledged this, but still, the problem remains. 

The location is good be prepared to climb 100+ steps to get to harbour level.



Marina Bayview

Quiet hotel with good facilities. Excellent choice of restaurants at the bottom of the hill & decent supermarket. Enjoyed sitting on the sun terrace next to the jacuzzi as this was less busy than the pool area. Only issue was the smell from the drains in the room which we mentioned to the hotel staff. They fixed the air freshener dispenser in the bathroom but it didn't totally resolve the problem.

Relaxing Stay

We loved this place the apartment was clean and comfortable we had a great view of the marina   Breakfast was great and lunch was available but found the breakfast kept us full. Would have been even better if the bar was available to 8-9pm but it closed at 6.

Great place for a break.

This is our second stay here and we will definitely stay again! 

All staff we have encountered from reception,  housekeeping,  restaurant, and everything in between have been polite, cheerful and helpful.  They all seem to take great pride in the work that they do to ensure the hotel is kept to such a high standard.  

My husband emailed a week before arrival to request the same room we had previously (knowing this might not be possible). we were delighted to be given the room next door, which was just as lovely.  

The hotel, pool area, and rooms are spotlessly clean. 
You are given a pool towel in your room on arrival. This can be changed by the lifeguard at 9.30am though some days he runs out quickly. 
Bath towels can be changed daily if required when room cleaning is done. 
On arrival there are basic supplies such as washing up liquid/sponge/dishcloth, tea/coffee/sugar/uht milk, soap and shower gel. Toilet rolls are replenished daily. 

Reception has a little shop where you can buy water, beer, wine, basic snacks and some basic toiletries.  
There is also a small reuse library.  

We had lunch at the restaurant during both stays. The food is delicious,  fresh, and excellent value for money - the portions are HUGE! 
When you order food you are served a lovely little platter of olives, mini toasts and the most delicious butter. (I'd love to know the ingredients and make it at home) 

YES, there are steps from the hotel to access the local area. However, unless you have mobility issues, these are NOT a problem.  (We walked them during the hottest part of the day and often multiple times each day) 
NOTE - use the side exit located behind the gym and sauna as this cuts out a number of steps. You will need your room key for access. 
There are a row of restaurants and a supermarket at the bottom of the steps. If you continue down under the bridge you come to the Marina and beach area where there are many other restaurants and shops including a SPAR. 

At the Marina you can get the ferry to Mogan (market day Friday) it is €13 return. 

Amadores is a lovely walk along a well made path, around 30 minutes. 

Though we never had a problem locating a sunbed during our stay (October and May visits) there are still those annoying people who insist upon reserving beds at dawn and not using them! This is not stopped or checked in any way. 

The hotel offers a courtesy room which can be booked on the morning of your departure. 
They also have laundry facilities that are chargeable. 

There is no entertainment at this hotel which suits us completely.  It is a quiet relaxing atmosphere.  The bar shuts at 6pm. Though there is a BBQ on Fridays where the restaurant/bar remains open later and there is some gentle entertainment.  

The views from the rooms, pool and restaurant are STUNNING (The photos don't do it justice) 

If you're looking for a chilled adult only holiday then this is the place for you!
