General view

We arrived on the 19th of april the reception staff were very welcoming. We arrived at our apartment and we were self catering we noticed the fridge was hot and wasn't working they replaced it the next again day which was fine.  On the 25th of April it was my partner’s birthday and we had been out all day and came back to floods in our apartment from the apartment above us, we got a move to the next block but wasnt ideal having to pack our stuff half way through our holiday my partner is particularly blind so this was very distressing for him. Dont get me wrong the cleaners went above and beyond for us and gave us fresh towels every day they are amazing. We had a late flight home and i had asked if we could get a late check out with the disruption through out the week and was told no. I definitely wouldn’t come back to this hotel to be honest.

I wouldn’t waste your money.

Lovely hotel. Our room and our friends was nice.  Balcony was a large size and the view was great. We found it comfortable.  Our room was self catering so had a little kitchen. Good location a couple of minutes walk from the europa centre. The pool looked nice but wasn't easy to use as sunbeds were reserved very early and it was packed all afternoon.  The upstairs pool was empty every day and was ridiculously priced at €25 euros each a day. More money would be made reducing the price. We hired a car. Parking was €6 9am-8pm unless you parked a bit further away. 

Nice hotel, good location.

My daughter stayed here for 4 nights in March with her friend. She was a bit apprehensive with the reviews but found the hotel and  the staff to be very good and to be very good value for money. She said the views were unreal though the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes away down steps. She said food was good for a 3 star with good choice. Drinks also very good and strong. Bar staff and entertainment staff all lovely and made their holiday as they got to know them both. Apartment was a bit dated but very spacious and cleaned every day. All in all a very good first stay in Gran Canaria and was very hot for march! ,

Overall lovely holiday

A nice stay. Comfortable beds, gorgeous views and friendly staff. 
Good food for all inclusive, quite samey but enjoyable. There was always food available throughout the day and the unlimited icecream machine was a bonus. 
The drinks were fairly poor and all inclusive options weren’t great compared to All Inclusive Plus guests. 

A few points to mention, we noticed smashed windows in the restaurant which hadn’t been repaired for our entire stay. This is a safety hazard especially for children as well as an eye sore. The room, specifically the bathroom could do with some TLC. 
Also, throughout the entire lobby area was an awful toilet smell. I understand toilet paper shouldn’t be flushed, however, maybe the bins should be emptied more often, or the sewer system should be looked at. 

Overall, a nice relaxing stay for 5 nights. Just some certain areas needing some attention.

Great views, average hotel

Average stay.
Good points  
Hotel very close to the Europa centre.
All staff polite and friendly.
Sun loungers don't open until 9am so you can always get one.
No smoking around the pool.
Pool was heated.
Spa shop on site and very reasonably priced for drinks and snacks to eat around the poolside.

Bad points
Rooms not cleaned properly.
Rooms not maintained. We had a live wire hanging out of the bedside wall light, reported this x4 on different days and it was never fixed. We had to move our bed out of the way.
Food - not much choice and very repetitive. You'll always find something to eat but other hotels I've stayed in the food has been better.
Walls very thin in the rooms. We had a dividing locked door that lit up on a night-time when people came in the room next door (it illuminated our bedroom) and you could hear every word people were saying.
Entertainment team very poor during the day. Only aqua aerobics and 1 small hoop game. No killer darts or killer pool for the kids.
Pool gets full and not even sun loungers for all of the guests if your not there at 9am to get one.
Can't comment on the evening entertainment as we went out every night down to the commercial centre.

Overall we had a lovely holiday but i have stayed in better hotels in Gran Canaria.

Average stay

This excellent hotel boasts breathtaking views over the harbour, the bay and out to the open sea from its elevated position in Puerto Rico on the southwestern coast of the holiday island of Gran Canaria. It features 2 outdoor pools, a sports centre, kid's club, restaurant and various bars. The Europa Shopping Centre is situated right next to the hotel; the next beach is within walking distance.
