“Welcome home!” 

This was the greeting at the reception when we returned back to the Atlantic Sunset Hotel for the 6th time. The check in was quick and friendly, and we were soon off to our room in the Privilege Building. Very spacious room with a big comfortable bed and a separate seating area with a sofa and chair. The bathroom is also very big with two sinks and a nice shower. All the areas in the hotel, including the room, were very clean throughout our stay, as always. The mini fridge was stocked up every second day with drinks and some snacks. 

It was my husband’s birthday during our stay and I had organised some surprises in the room throughout our stay. Maare and the team in the guest relations were so helpful to organise everything without any issues. The colourful birthday flowers in the room were looking as good on our last day as they did on the day of our arrival. The champagne was well chilled in the ice bucket. 

We chose the all-inclusive and Privilege package as we like to spend most of the holiday in the hotel relaxing, and because it gives us the option to book any of the great restaurants, gives us the access to the roof top terrace and the Privilege Lounge with a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We loved the new menu in The View Restaurant: so many delicious dishes to choose from. Our favourites were the two starters on the dinner menu: tomato tartare and octopus tempura. 

What really makes the hotel so good is the staff. Everyone is always smiling, greeting you in the corridor or stopping to have a little chat with you. Some of the staff have been working there since our first visit in 2021 which must be a sign that it’s also a good place to work at. Some of the reviews mention that there is not much happening around the hotel; it is true but it’s also one of the reasons why we keep returning. And we will be back soon, another birthday holiday booked for August! See you soon.

Great and relaxing holiday

Family of 3 adults for 8 days with Jet 2.
Our welcome was one of the best we have experienced - cases taken, glass of fizz, they booked us into The View (we were on the Privilege).
We were in room 3314 - overlooking the pool and towards Play Las Americas (The Hard Rock was the other side). The room was a double with a variety of extras. For two people, no problem for 3 it was a little cramped e.g. limited hanging and storage space But the room was spotless with a good shower in the bathroom.
The staff were fantastic in the majority. There was a couple who were below their standard, but nothing bad to speak of. The View is a fantastic restaurant - just like a good quality restaurant in the UK. The Italian was also good. We ate mostly at these two restaurants. We did one night in Route 66. If you like Nados, then that's fine. There were also kids throwing their shoes and kicking footballs around the stage. The main buffet looked really busy and we just ate lunch in there on one occasion. Breakfast in The View was fantastic. A great way to start the day.
The hotel is spotless and well laid out. It's effectively 3 buildings joined together with one long corridor.
We were there when a strike took place. Other than the picket line noise, services weren't badly effected.
Our last day wasn't the best. Unfortunately we couldn't keep our room for the afternoon. This wasn't great for managing cases and the courtesy room.
We would recommend the hotel if you want somewhere away from a main centre with stunning views and quality.

Recommended - a great stay for 8 days

We stayed here for 8 nights in a privilege room. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The team are friendly and helpful and breakfast and dinner in The View was superb. I celebrated my birthday during our stay and was made to feel extra special - thank you again. It was also good to see that there were no towels on the sun-beds at gone 10 a.m.😊. Special thanks to the guest relations team and to the team in The View as they were all excellent - if I had to pick one  it would be Xuan as he would always go the extra mile all with that cheeky smile of his. Thank you again for a wonderful stay - look forward to returning later in the year.

We stayed at this hotel in April, covering both the week before and during the Easter holidays, and had an absolutely wonderful time.

The hotel is modern, clean, and very spacious, with lots of areas to explore and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was fresh, spotless, and had a fantastic balcony a great space to unwind.

There are four swimming pools offering something for everyone:
	•	A lively pool with kids’ slides that our little one loved.
	•	A deeper pool nearby, popular with older kids and a bit more energetic.
	•	A quieter pool near the bar, which we appreciated when we wanted to relax.
	•	And a stunning infinity pool at the edge of the resort beautiful views and a peaceful vibe.

We were so impressed by the kids’ entertainment team, especially Viktor, who was truly fantastic. He made our shy son feel safe, welcome, and included, which meant the world to us. The whole team were brilliant and created such a positive and fun atmosphere for the children.

The spa was excellent. I had a full body massage and the therapist was professional and skilled. A really relaxing experience.

Food was fantastic throughout. The breakfast buffet was huge, fresh, and different each day. The main buffet restaurant had a wide and varied menu that rotated every 7 days, which kept meals interesting. We also loved the convenient wristbands, which doubled as room keys and could be used for tabs, such a smart idea.

One thing to note: you do need to use the hotel app to book restaurants and activities. It worked well for us, but I did wonder how easy it would be for the older generation or those less tech-savvy.

The week of school holidays became very busy with children which is totally fine for hen you have them. this was a brilliant holiday. The service was top-notch, the facilities were excellent, and the attention to families and children really made a difference. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this hotel.
