Do not go here as a solo and do not go here if you like food, friendliness or entertainment. Breakfast was a boiled egg, no buffet for lunch or dinner, I was offered nothing that I could eat for 4 days in a row as I don’t eat meat. The meals were all microwaved (even the chips) Bar closes at 10pm. I suppose you get what you pay for!

Avoid at all costs

Not had the best experience for the first time in Turkey. Got conned by the young night porter for money got to say he put on a great sob story and kept being friendly to get money. My daughter was with me and he tried touching her and chatting her up even though he was wearing a wedding ring

Not to trust staff

I feel like I should have read the reviews before booking the place! Upon inspection, the hotel is beautiful and clean and has all the basic amenities you need, and despite the steep hill, the views are amazing! 

I'm sure in the summer months this would be a bargain! My issue wasn't with the hotel/amenities per se, but with the night porter letting himself into my room at 2:30 am and trying to blame it on a stray dog! (his rationale was that the stray dog opened the door with a set of keys, set the motion light off inside our room, dropped the keys, ran back up the stairs and then slammed the door behind him!). 

For clarification, we had light motion detectors in our apartment. At 2:30 am, I was in bed, and the light went off in the hallway; a bunch of keys dropped, and the door slammed shut! I went out to the night porter - who happened to be the only person on shift- and he ran across the courtyard in case someone had broken into our room. 

 I asked him to check around our room, which he did, and said if anything else happened, to give him a call using our phone in our room. At around 3:30 am, we heard someone thudding at the door, so we went to call the reception, and there was no wire in the phone to call. In the end, we went out to the night porter, and he couldn't locate the CCTV. He then tried to gaslight me and started saying that I had been drinking the night before, so maybe I was still drunk, or maybe I was hungover. Neither of which was true. 

Needless to say, we had to barricade ourselves into our room each night and didn't get much sleep for the rest of the week - I ended up sleeping at around 6 am each morning, when I felt safe to do so! 

The guy on reception (who was there throughout the day) couldn't have been more helpful. When it came to checking out, he advised us that there was no CCTV on our room, so he could neither confirm nor deny that the night porter had let himself in or not. 

As we are two young women travelling alone, I would not recommend any young woman staying at the hotel. I'm just thankful that I was awake when this happened, but this incident made me feel incredibly unsafe as a female traveller.

Female travellers beware.

Definitely not a 4 star more like a two.
Bedding terrible,  dirty toilet brush. 
Furniture is odd, pieces that need updating.
Menus need changing,  dining room needs a deep clean. 
On the upside staff were excellent. 
O you have to pay for drinks after 10pm

For the cost mmmm, ok.

To all the people saying the menu aint what u expected did u think to ask the chef because I'm a fuzzy eater and everythink I asked for i got cooked the staff are brilliant even breakfast I don't like boiled eggs so they cooked me omelettes every single day the lunch and dinner menu I've had 20+ dishes offered to me unlimited drinks the rooms are perfect with a perfect view yer the pools cold but when its 22 degrees u don't mind it cause it will cool u down u get for what you pay for and under 30 a night if u get cold of a night use the air con and put it on heat and the rooms warm within 10 mins showers u have to get the adjustment right to get perfect water or u will burn staff are very polite and positive if u need help ask they will help u in any way possible my review is not fake i am not a turkish resident im from scotland UK

Alanya Castle is only 10 minutes by car from Villa Sonata and 300 meteers ( a 4 minutes walk) from the Cleopatra Beach. Antalya Airport is only 130 km away. Gazipasa is only 45 km away. There are museums and historical places, like Alanya Castle, Damlatas Cave and Cleopatra Beach near our hotel, Villa Sonata.
