Our stay at this hotel left us with a sense of disappointment. When you choose a five-star hotel in Turkey and pay a considerable amount of money, you expect a high level of service and comfort. But the reality turned out to be quite different. The only things we truly enjoyed were the sea, the weather, and the beautiful grounds. Everything else made us question whether this hotel truly deserves its five-star rating.
Issues encountered

•	When we arrived, we were given the wrong room, which had 3 single beds, even when we had booked a double room. When we complained to the acting manager, as it was late, he told us that no other rooms were available and that we had to wait until the next day to speak to the main manager who may be able to help
•	Next day we were given a double room, by a lovely staff member called Timi, who spoke good English and apologised for the inconvenience. We waited for a couple of hours while the room was prepared. Once in the room one of the bedside lamps did not work and the shower was blocked and therefore kept overflowing into the bathroom. This was promptly sorted out by their maintenance person.
•	The rooms that we saw are mediocre and don’t have that 5 star feel, the furniture and decor is old. The air conditioning is intermittent, some days its works well and some days the rooms get hot. I did hear that the rooms above the lobby bar are better, possibly newer
•	The service? The quality is so inconsistent that it sometimes feels like the staff have no idea what they’re doing. The cleaning was subpar: the beds were not properly made and they forgot many times to issue a bathroom floor matt. Towels weren’t always replenished, and toiletries ran out without being restocked. This is simply unacceptable for a five-star hotel.
•	The food is another disappointment and the menu was the same every day. The menu was predominantly chicken every single day with some fish and the taste was lacklustre. One would have thought that they would serve Turkish kebabs, which we had to go to the nearest town of Belek, which is within walking distance to taste.
•	The restaurant’s state was especially unpleasant: there weren’t enough chairs for guests, the tables were often not wiped down. If you left your table unattended, then it would be quickly wiped down and reset for the next guest by staff. Often you came back after getting your food to your table, to find other guests sitting on it. Many times, there were no clean dishes and you had to ask the staff to replenish them 
•	Most bars were very busy, so there was a waiting time for drinks, the cocktails at the bar were made as if the staff had no time to prepare them properly, as they were busy, sometimes it felt as if the drinks were watered down, and the result always depended on the bartender’s mood and the bar attended. We found the lobby bar to be the best for drinks and comfort, but does get busy and seating is hard to find
•	The internet was unreliable, especially around the pool, there was no connection at all on the beach. Beach towels ran out well before the end of the swimming day, and there weren’t enough sun loungers with shades either.
•	The infrastructure also left much to be desired. The water slides, while fun, had very limited operating hours, and the inflatable rings for sliding down were often deflated. I fell ill after going into the pool and found that several other guests experienced the same illness of vomiting after swimming in the pools, which raises concerns about water quality.
•	There are no clothes irons in the rooms, and none are available from reception, you are encouraged to pay for a laundry service, a rate card is present in all rooms

•	Positives – The snack bar seems to have better food, with burgers, chips, jacket potatoes and is open late. The site is also well laid out with plenty of activities for children and adults who may want to participate. There is a good Saturday market in nearby Belek, that sells quality genuine and fake goods, but they are not cheap

Conclusion - It feels like this hotel is just coasting on inertia, they do little to maintain their 5-star status, we did hear from one of the staff that it was getting a makeover in Nov 2024, which remains to be seen, as it definitely needs one. For what they are charging guests and passing themselves as a 5-star hotel, the service, accommodation and poor food variety, don’t match up to this 5-star status

Disappointing, Not What We Would Expect from a 5-Star Hotel

Absolutely lovely stay! Staffs were wonderful & worked so hard! Would definitely come back & recommend this to my friends & family. The only problem was a charger socket cos mine didn’t fit anywhere as we come from the uk. we requested if they had an adapter but never got responses back & that was the only problem!
Also, the location is a bit of a trek. Away from the town & had to take taxis everywhere

Lovely hotel! Alot of things to do.

We stayed in Aquaworld Belek in 2024 so it was under different management. The hotel itself was great for the kids as the whole area is surrounded by dunes. The hotel was not 5 stars at the time we were in bus has 5 star potential if rooms will be refurbished and after renovation the whole area. As it is under new management now we hope that the food quality situation has improved. As it was end of season shortl before shutting the whole hotel down we understand that service and offers were quite limited. We would recommend the place and come back after facilty renovation. Our kids loved it. Tennis and Archiry was the favorite by the animators Deniz and Edda. Thank you for an extra free tennis lesson :-)

Good area - hopefully better management now 2025

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Asteria family Resort belek. We used for a base as were attending a wedding in Antalya. 
I have stayed in Belek before at 5 start luxury hotels so may be a little unfair to use them as a comparision for this review.
Plus points are firstly the staff, very polite and helpful and credit to hotel. Grounds are beautiful and extremley will maintained and manicured. Food overall was good never had a bad meal although only had one evening meal whilst there, but breakfast everyday. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools and although we did not have children with us to see they would be well catered for. Finally cleanliness was great and found staff working hard to keep as spotless as possible.

Negatives would be unfair. Hotel bedrooms are a little tired but under the impression new owners are revamping them. Our aircon was not working very well and although engineer attended did not resolve. Not really a problem as weather was quite cool whilst there, but if temos were seasonal average may have been uncomfortable. Lastly being such a big property grounds wise there is quite a walk between venues and from the rooms. This does however give a quiet aspect to hotel. From where we stayed reception and car park a fair way away. We had no welcome back on arrival and had to look at map boards in the grounds to find where things were. Nothing at all in the bedrooms. Although room was cleaned daily no top up to coffee satchets or bottled water used, we had to go find these ourselves.

Overall based on price we paid was great. I would potentially use again if had to come and visit friends. If were purely for Holiday would prefer to pay a bit more and stay at hotels that have more facilities and dining options. Would recommend to families on a budget as is likely to tick most boxes.

Great value for money

We stayed at this place last April and we are staying here now, so l want to say about changes to the hotel. 
On the whole it has definitely become better in some ways. It is better maintained and more organized now, the food is much better and of better quality and more varied and fresher and more delicious now. There are more points where you can have a meal or snack or drink. They have built new two beach bars-it’s really beautiful now. They cleaned the beach and made it flat. In the main restaurant Thera are more tables, no queues and crowds. The service at the restaurant is very good now, the staff is really polite and helpful. 
But there are some disadvantages now, first of all, there’s no animation program for kids except mini disco. When we booked the hotel this year we expected to have a lot of fun with animation team that we had last year. My son was expecting to attend activities that he visited last year. They had tennis lessons, archery, football for kids last year. They made pizza and cookies every day. But now they have nothing. It’s a weak point now. Moreover, at the main pool it feels like a bit boring. The previous team were funnier, more sociable, and more heartfelt and friendlier. Sometimes it’s better when things stay the same. In spite of these we are having a great holiday and enjoying ourselves. And most likely will return in October or next April, because the grounds of the hotel outweight all minuses.

Beautiful place

The hotel enjoys a beachfront location on the lovely coast of Belek, just 2 km from the resort centre with its restaurants, bars and shopping venues. Set in large, well-maintained grounds, the resort consists of a main building with a variety of room types and low-rise bungalows . Standard rooms are located in the village part of the complex and have a balcony or terrace. A wide range of activities is available to be enjoyed on the premises. The hotel takes pride in its impressive aqua park set close to the beach, with a number of slides in addition to a children's section, activity pool and a quiet pool. Guests can take advantage of a variety of evening entertainment options, including an , while younger ones can enjoy the hotel's kids' entertainment programme.
