Just got back from a 10 day holiday staying in Club Aqua Plaza, traveling with my 10 year old son and my Mother. We choose this hotel due to the water slides as we knew they would keep my son entertained and they did not disappoint. The hotel staff were so friendly, the animation team were phenomenal, getting everyone involved and making our whole time there enjoyable. Even though it was the start of the seaons, the team still found the time to arrange entertainment every night and put on a kids mini disco every night.
The rooms are basic but they had everything we needed (mattresses and bedding could have been a little softer).

I had read some negative reviews from last year, however I can honestly say that we did not experience any of what we had seen written, the slides and pool area were kept clean, bedrooms cleaned daily, hotel lobby and gardens cleaned daily and the restaurant food was tasty with lots of options to choose from. 

I would also like to add that our easyjet rep was amazing, we were able to book lots of excursions through him, he was so friendly and arranged everything for us, we kept in contact via WhatsApp about time pick ups etc, which was really handy.

I would highly recommend this hotel to families. We will definitely be booking again.

Excellent Hotel

What can I say , club aqua plaza was beautiful every single person of staff was so lovely and friendly , couldn't fault any of them , the animation team were amazing , we booked the superior room , which was worth the extra bit of money , just for the views and space of the room .
The food was good and although it was consistent it was still nice . Ignore the bad reviews there is nothing negative to say about this hotel and we would definitely come back .

Brilliant holiday

The hotel is beautiful, lovely atmosphere, I’d like to especially give credit to the bar tenders for being so friendly and attentive. Hakim from the animation team was a highlight of the trip, always attentive and creating fun for the whole family of a variety of ages, very friendly fun lovely man. Would definitely recommend.

Good

Service
The service from everyone associated with the hotel was exemplary. Everyone was happy and welcoming and nothing seemed to be too much (including retrieving our beach towels that had blown off the balcony and onto what looked like an impossible to reach roof!)

Bar staff were very fast and efficient, with shout outs for Mehmet who made incredible cocktails, Seyfi was excellent at coming over with special drinks for you without asking and Hassan who was forever buzzing around on his roller skates delivering drinks – he never stopped!

Room service was exceptional, daily clean with fresh towels, a bottle of wine and fruit platter on our first night, and a lovely display on my birthday. 

Food
There was always food available from the early to later hours of the day.
We found the food selection and quality to be great. Lots of authentic Turkish dishes that were great fun to try, including the daily offering of Turkish Simit bread, borek and pide flatbreads. 

I would say that if you are the type of person who likes a moan about not being “enough English” food you may be disappointed, however there was a wide variety of all different types of food, including hot, cold, salads etc and we found it changed frequently throughout the week.

Firm favourites for me was the daily visit to the omelette station, as well as the fresh honeycomb at breakfast. 

Another favourite was the ice-cream selection at the pool bar, fantastic quality and used all the time by us during our stay.

Room / Hotel
Whilst a good 3-hour bus journey (shared shuttle) from Antalya airport and not arriving until around 10:30pm, we were greeted and seen to our room very quickly and still had the option to eat at the snack bar (pizzas/burgers) or the evening salads, soups and breads buffet in the main restaurant (which is what we opted for after a full days travelling).

The hotel was kept immaculately clean and the ground staff were constantly busy maintaining the plants, grasses, bushes and ponds etc. Our son likes hunting for the resident lizards in the rock walls and the hotel was not overrun with wild cats, with us counting only maybe 3 or 4 and they didn’t cause much of a nuisance.

On our first morning we had a meeting with the tour guide who gave us a good idea of the excursions available which were many, including day trips, water sports, massages and a day out at sea on a pirate boat which is what we opted to do and would highly recommend.

The room was kept spotlessly clean and was of a good standard, air-conditioning worked and a hot shower. Only slight downsize was the ‘balcony’ was a very shallow step out and no room for seats/tables.

Facilities / Entertainment

Weather:
We had been slightly nervous on looking ahead to the weeks weather forecast, with temperatures set to drop and rain forecast 3 of the 7 days we were there, however other than a slightly windy/cloudy day on Tuesday that ended with heavy rain in the evening (which was still fine for sitting outdoors with an extra layer on during the day) and an impressive lightning storm at around 5am on the Saturday (which was clear by 9:30am and ended up around 26 degrees at the peak) the weather was great, with blue skies and ranging around 24-26 degree averages. 

I would say however had the weather not been favourable, I do think the facilities may have been limited indoors. During the rainy evening the kids’ disco was moved into the reception lobby, which was fine for a one off, but would not have been suitable had this been a nightly occurrence. There was also not much in the way of entertainment / facilities indoors, which was absolutely fine for us as we were there for the weather and the pools!

Pools / Waterpark:
The waterparks on-site were a big attraction for us, with a good number of adult slides, as well as both a large kids park that boasted a number of slides and tipping bucket, along with a smaller splash park for younger children – our three-year-old loved both! 

A good number of pools available, at various parts of the pool including one away from the noise & kids areas, as well as another gorgeous one that overlooked the beach surrounded by decking and chairs.

Beach:
The private beach was less than a 2-minute walk down from the main entrance and whilst it was a pebble beach, was nice enough and had free sun loungers and manufactured sand area, including a volleyball court.

A short walk in either direction however did lead onto sandy areas of the beach if making sandcastles was of importance to you!

Along the coast there were a number of piers belonging to different hotels that were under construction, including the Aqua Plazas; however there was a team of guys working on this most days and so I would expect this will be added before too long. The hotels that did have finished piers had seating / loungers on theirs which looked quite nice.

Entertainment:
The animation team were all very friendly and good at getting people involved. We enjoyed our morning darts games, and the kids disco every night was great, with lots of kids involved on the state. Special mention for Oscar who was incredible with the kids, both throughout the day and at the night time discos.

The adult’s entertainment following the mini-disco was good and a decent variety of shows too, including Turkish dancing, BMX stunt show, bingo night and a host of others.

Other Facilities:
There were a few areas that could’ve been improved, with a number of slightly tired things, such as an old looking bucking bronco, mini golf, bumper boats and climbing wall – not sure if these will be reinstated in high season but all looking a little worse for wear whilst we were there, which was a shame.

Overall a fantastic week had by all and we would certainly have no problem going back again!

Very nice hotel, great service. During our stay at the hotel we had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful animator – Hakim. He is an extremely nice and positive person who created a great atmosphere from the first day. Always smiling, full of energy and ideas for spending time together. Thanks to him, every day was full of laughter and good fun. Hakim was able to engage both children and adults – regardless of age, everyone felt welcome and important. He is an animator with a true calling.
