1000 thanks for a wonderful two-week stay at Sofitel Imperial Spa in Mauritius from the two of us.
Nice to be able to meet in person and book the trip and get answers as well as subsequent advice and guidance before departure. It is really good service.
Mauritius is a beautiful island with friendly and welcoming inhabitants and a wonderful mix of cultures and beautiful nature. We experienced 200-year-old tortoises and snorkeling with two species of dolphins.
Sofitel is a super resort with a beautiful beach, pools and sunset over the Indian Ocean.
The cuisine is at a high gastronomic level with many skilled chefs and new themes every day in the restaurants.
Davina at the reception has a service gene beyond the ordinary. She and the others at the reception are welcoming and very helpful, as is Ishvari at the cashier's desk.
We will definitely return to Sofitel Imperial Spa in Flic n Flac in Mauritius again.

The hotel is celebrating 32 years of operation, which, unfortunately, is also visible in the rooms. The entire complex is in need of renovation. The food was delicious, but the service in the dining area struggled with clearing tables, which is likely more of a management issue. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and very helpful.  

In a five-star hotel, even basic amenities were not replenished. The beach, however, is absolutely stunning! Thank you for the beautiful sunsets!  

Considering today's five-star hotel standards, this felt more like a four-star hotel.

Amazing time with great hospitality! The staff was very professional and helpful. Huge shoutout to Mr. Vikash who went to get the car from the parking while it was pouring.
Food was excellent. Huge variety compared to other hotels!! A must try!

What a fantastic place this is with wonderful staff and great food!  It was my wife’s 50th and the hotel could not have been more accommodating or generous… As one of the more established properties on the island, the hotel has very high standards of service and cleanliness, and everything is of good quality including details such as sunbeds, WiFi, sheets and toiletries!  We loved lush gardens and the sheer sense of space and calm on the beach, and a special shout out to the very courteous beach vendors including Christophe, Sunny and Jean-Paul.

We ate in the Teppanyaki restaurant on my wife’s birthday -  a simply incredible experience!  Also Ming Court deserves a special mention, as do the themed buffet nights (Indian, International, Chinese) that were of great variety and quality in the main restaurant.  The waiting staff were kind and super proactive at all times, especially Adrien who took great care of us for breakfast and dinner.

One night we took a walk along the beach to the Hilton and ate in the Thai Restaurant there.  Although the hotel is newer and arguably a bit flashier, we were relieved to be staying at the Sofitel as the food, service and ambiance simply did not compare! 

We stayed in an Opera Suite and Magnifique rooms which were very well appointed, and it’s great to see that the rest of the rooms are now being updated to a similar standard.  Although there is building work going on at the left-side of the hotel, great care was taken in order not to inconvenience guests… It simply did not affect our stay at all.

In conclusion, if you want understated 5* service with Mauritian charm at a reasonable price this is the hotel for you.  Yes there are some areas of the hotel that need a little updating (e.g. buffet restaurant and corridor decor, etc) it’s important to look beyond this and appreciate this wonderful slice of paradise for what it is! Went for a solo spa treatment and had an amazing time. I felt refreshed and relaxed after the treatment provided by Sandia. Sandia has been very helpful as she went out of her way to accomodate to my schedule and staff were professional, kind and helpful staff. I shall definitely visit again.
