The spa was amazing. They were so helpful when no one else wasn’t. They went above and beyond for the bride and her friends. We are so greatful for them!! So friendly and definitely recommend to visit them. We had such a blast, and we were so happy

The Spa was amazing!

We visited the beauty salon for my friends wedding and had hair and make up done. Margot was absolutely outstanding! The service we experienced from her and her team was second to none. We had airbrush make up done which was stunning and they looked after us so well bringing us mimosas, chocolate dipped strawberries and food and just providing general banter and friendly vibes. 10/10 would recommend and wedding party using these guys, thank you!

No trouble booking speciality restaurants.
Food all good.
Entertainment excellent.
Absolutely no complaints.
Lots of mosquito bites but has to be expected in an eco resort in a jungle.
I don't usually visit the same place twice but am very tempted to go back here.

A very enjoyable holiday

We visited this resort in 2021 and absolutely adored it. We had very little issues if any, and everything was good. 

We just left from a week stay here again with our family, returning thinking we would get the same amazing place, unfortunately that was not the case, and we were even booked through a RE member this time. 

I guess a main boiler broke at the resort ( things happen I get it! Out of their control ) and we were told that it was only effecting some rooms. When we arrived, we realized the room we were in was one with no hot water, and not only that but almost no water pressure. Not even enough to rinse soap out of my hair. So we called and they said that they would send someone to fix it ( knowing darn well it wouldn’t be fixed lol ) then told us we could switch rooms if we wanted and to come talk to the front staff. So we went down and then we’re told that the hot water issue was the whole resort. ( also untrue, as we met quite a few guests with hot water in their rooms. ) so we did not get moved. Water pressure came up a bit about 4 of the days for us to have a decent shower but never hot. 

Water park large slides are closed, and they also lie saying that those are open when they are not, or that they will be open tomorrow when they won’t be. Groups of people coming were told they were open , when in fact they had been closed all week. 

As RE booked, we were supposed to be able to book for our whole group for dinners , and we’re told when we booked that we no longer could. Our family that came with us was told to check their app every night at midnight to book, and they did that and still never got to book one of their promised 3  al a carte dinners. We got to book 2 when we were supposed to book 7. 

Pools were not horrible but could of definitely been cleaner.  There is supposed to be the snack shacks with burgers , hot dogs etc and would randomly just not open some days. 

There seemed to be a real issue with towels, half the time there was none at the shacks, or they would close up early so you couldn’t return your towels. 

Food was good for the most part, not always amazing but always found something to eat. Drinks were always great! 

The resort is beautiful, lots of wild life, the shows are amazing, staff is for the most part friendly, but over all we unfortunately will not be back.

Has changed so much! We will not be back. :(

Currently at Sandos Caracol hotel. Staff are brilliant and really helpful. Only problem is the stock at the premium bars, which is non-existent. Premium club bar has no coke, no fruit juice to go with spirits and no coffee. Reported this over 5 hours ago and no stock replenished. Walk into main reception and they have coffee etc, so why not in the club select who have paid a premium for their holiday? Personally it’s not a major problem, but the poor staff are getting a lot of grief from customers who are not happy. Hopefully this will change as we are only on day 2 of our holiday.

Stock not great. Hopefully this will improve during our holiday.
