We visited Explorar Koh Samui hotel in march-april 2025 for two weeks, on our honeymoon. 

We have visited many great hotels in thailand but this hotel was our absolute favourite! We had beach pool villa which had amazing views and very big private pool/terrace. Room was very modern compared to many other hotels in Thailand. Room was also kept very clean every day. The hotel area had so many beautiful flower and light decorations. Atmosphere in hotel was very fine and high maintenance but it did not felt too heavy or stiff,  atmosphere was in good way relaxed. 

I have never seen hotel staff like this hotel had. The attitude to the customer service was something heart warming and we were so happy to see staff like this hotel had. Everybody was so kind and polite and professional. Everybody really did their best. Service was also very fast, did not need to wait long. The systems hotel had really worked well, for example ordering omelettes or special coffees in the morning . It was also nice to chat small talk with the staff. 

The food was amazing, best i have ever eat in thailand and i have eat many places. My husband loved especially pizzas but also other foods. There were also nice live music some nights in the restaurant.

The location of the hotel first felt quite far away for everything but as days went by and we visited almost every places of the island we realized Maenam was really the best place for us. I recommend go walking both directions to the beach after the sunset because there are many nice place "hidden gems" for example take a drink in the evening if just want to sit in the beach exotic quiet island vibes feeling in Maenam. Other beaches has more party atmosphere. But for us it was good to be exotic island feeling in maenam beach and visit other beaches when we wanted to party.

Overall Koh Samui and Explorar was perfect choice for our honeymoon. We could not be happier that we chose Explorar to our hotel and we really can recommend the hotel and beach pool villa for others.

Great holiday in amazing hotel:)

Loved our stay at Explorar Koh Samui. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. The infinity pool is huge and probably one of the nicest we’ve seen. The food was excellent, especially the Mediterranean dishes and pizza. We ended up staying in the whole time since everything we needed was right there. There’s also a proper co-working space with PCs and a printer, which came in handy.

This place is ideal if you want a stress-free getaway. The whole vibe is peaceful, relaxed, and thoughtfully designed. Perfect if you’re looking for some downtime without needing to plan much.

A Peaceful Escape With Everything You Need

Such a peaceful and relaxing spot for couples. The staff were welcoming from the start and always happy to help. We spent most of our time at the huge infinity pool, just soaking up the views. The pizza was surprisingly good, and the cocktails hit the spot. The co-working space was also bigger than expected and had everything we needed to get a bit of work done.

The resort has this calm energy that makes you feel like you’re really on vacation. You don’t feel rushed to go anywhere else, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave.

Great Spot for Couples Who Want to Unwind

We had a fantastic holiday at this beautifully run resort!  I can't speak highly enough about our experience from beginning to end.   The food was some of the best Thai food we have ever had.  The cocktails were amazing and bar staff were professional.  The staff were genuinely friendly and everyday went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience.  The pool was large and ideal for doing laps. The swim up bar was great.  The free shuttle to fisherman's wharf was a nice added benefit. We participated in many of the free activities - the rum tasting, mixology, pizza making were all informative and fun. The fitness centre was great.  This was the first time staying at an adults only resort and it definitely was a much more relaxing, serene vibe without children.  Ideal for couples wanting to relax.  Swimming at the beach was also a beautiful experience. I highly recommend, as other reviewers have said, to walk along the beach to the left and to the right of the hotel.  There are many restaurants and things to do along the way.  That said, we did not feel that we had to leave the resort as this place had absolutely everything we needed.  We will definitely would not hesitate to staying here again!

Fantastic resort with friendly, tentative staff which exceeded all expectations!

The location is perfect, close enough but far enough from the tourist locations.  The service was great, from the front desk, breakfast, lunch and dinners.  The swim up bar and extra cocktail and pizza classes were perfect too.  Overall staff were amazing.

Can’t wait to return and maybe do the sister resort across the bay.
