Das Hotel und die dazugehörigen Bungalows liegen in einem schönen, gepflegten Garten. Die Ankunft mit dem Schiff gestaltet sich ziemlich schwierig. Mit Rucksack sind es etwa nur 200m den Strand entlang, mit Rollkoffer jedoch sind es min. 15 Min. auf einer kleinen Straße, da die Taxifahrer die "kurze" Fahrt ablehnen und der Hotelshuttle leider immer ausgebucht ist. Eine schweisstreibende Angelegenheit! Der Strand ist rechts u. links der Anlage leider sehr vermüllt und bis auf das nicht so klare Wasser sehr schön. Liegen sind zeitweise Mangelware und die dazugehörigen Auflagen muß man sich selbst zusammensuchen. Das Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant ist ok, zum Essen gibt es jedoch in der Nähe viel bessere Alternativen. In dem Badezimmer des Deluxe Bungalows gab es kaum Ablageflächen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit aber teilweise nur mit minimalsten Englischkenntnissen. Kurze Laufwege zu kleinen Restaurants, Massagestudios und sonstigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind hier wertvoll. 

Nett mit Umgebung 

Wir möchten heute die Wahrheit sagen. Es war einmal ein Paradies! Vor Jahren hat uns dieses Hotel ein Glücksgefühl beschert und wir kamen immer wieder. Allerdings bleibt inzwischen nur als positiv zu bewerten, die herrlich ruhige,romantische Lage und die Freundlichkeit und der Fleiß der nur noch wenigen Mitarbeiter, sowie ein gutes Frühstück. Wir waren entsetzt, wie lieblos die einst schöne parkähnliche Anlage verfällt. Es gibt viel zu wenig Liegen und Sonnenschirme und davon sind die meisten kaputt und schmutzig. Unsere Fotos belegen das jetzige Elend. Mitten in der Anlage nur Müll und Abfall. Was alt und kaputt ist, wird einfach hinter das Gebäude geworfen. Dort liegen dazwischen auch nagelneue helle Holzliegen, die nur mit Holzfarbe bestrichen werden müßten, aber wer soll das machen, wenn keine Leute da sind? Sogar am Strand an der Grundstücksgrenze, direkt neben den Liegen, verdirbt der Müll den schönen Blick aufs Meer. An den Gebäuden sind die Handläufe aus Holz verrottet. Es ist also gefährlich daran Halt zu suchen. Zum Beispiel vom Strand zur Frühstücksterrasse, oder die Stufen zum WC für Strand und Pool. Der Pool sieht auf den Fotos hübsch aus, aber er wird nur unzureichend gereinigt. Es werden nur Blätter abgefischt und der Boden abgesaugt. Eine dunkle Fettschicht verziert die Ränder. Unappetitlich!  Es hat den Anschein, als wenn die Geschäftsleitung nur noch Geld absahnen will. Es wird wenig bis gar nichts investiert. Es gibt kaum noch Mitarbeiter. Ein Mann ist ab früh morgens damit beschäftigt, die Liegen abzufegen, umzustellen, den Sandstrand zu reinigen und die gesamte Gartenanlage ein wenig zu beackern. Früher wurden die Büsche beschnitten, das Unkraut entfernt und die Pflanzen gewässert, von mehreren Mitarbeitern. Diese wenigen Leute, die es noch gibt, sind sooo lieb, freundlich und lächeln immer noch. Sie tun uns sehr leid! Und nun wird auch noch ein riesiges Umspannwerk gleich nebenan gebaut und verursacht Lärm. Wie der Geräuschpegel nach Fertigstellung sein wird, bleibt abzuwarten. Wir empfehlen die Anlage zur Zeit nicht und werden die hoffentlich kommenden, ebenfalls ehrlichen Bewertungen, beobachten, um zu entscheiden, ob das Hotel eine neue Chance von uns bekommt. Die Wahrheit macht traurig und fassungslos!

Een prima hotel voor paar nachtjes. Geen airco maar een fan. Hele grote kamer. Basic douche. Mooie bijna infinity pool! Ontbijt was niet zo, basic, dingen op, etc. Vlakbij de ferry, locatie top, als je daarna een van de andere eilanden wil bezoeken. Personeel lief.

Please avoid this place, it’s not worth it. We stayed here for one night before catching the early boat to Koh Tao having booked through Booking.com. A glitch in the site meant that the confirm came through for 2 rooms but with 2 adults and 1 child total rather than 2 adults and 4 children. I contacted the hotel both through booking.com messaging on multiple occasions and finally when no reply received by the direct hotel email, all ignored.

Despite booking a transfer for 6 people, a small car arrived at the airport and we had to wait in the heat with our kids for over half an hour whilst another arrived. Reception then tried to charge us for 2 separate cars, despite this being their error and us having the inconvenience. We were then made to pay 900 baht extra for the roll out beds, despite them being on the original booking.com confirm.

Rooms extremely basic, air con works after a while, cleaning just about ok on a surface level. Comfort levels as you definitely wouldn’t want to stay more than a quick night. Areas with rubbish in the gardens, didn’t see the beach or pool. 

Arrived at reception 7:30am for the transfer to the ferry port to find a new receptionist shouting aggressively at my young family that we had not disclosed the ages of our kids and had to pay more. Another 600 baht. When you check in passports are submitted so it’s unclear why this wasn’t mentioned then. I tried to show the booking.com details and she refused to look at them then threatened to not take us to our ferry so we would miss it and call the police. My family were very shaken indeed after this experience. It also ended up, after having to pay the 2 lots of extra money,  very poor value for the inconvenience, low standard of accommodation and being aggressively threatened on departure. I highly recommend you avoid this hotel.

Kein Ort um sich wohlzufühlen. Der Bungalow war alt und dunkel, das Außenteil der Klimaanlage war so laut, dass es klang, als ob neben dem Bungalow ein Traktor mit laufendem Motor stände. Eine echte Zumutung. Beschwerden halfen nicht.

Beim Restaurant gibt es eine schöne große Terrasse mit Meerblick. Es stehen einige wenige Tische draußen, für die Holz- und teilweise Plastikstühle gibt es keine Sitzpolster, auch gibt es keine Sonnenschirme, man sitzt also hart und in der vollen Sonne. Ich hatte ein Shinga bestellt, das kam dann ohne die Schaumstoffhülle um es kalt zu halten, so etwas hätten sie nicht.
Abends habe ich es dann nochmals probiert, da blenden Lichter am Terrassenrand, so dass es auch nicht gemütlich ist. Mein Weisswein wurde mit Zimmertemperatur serviert.

Bei der Rezeption steht ein Schild: No late checkout, als generelle Regel. Ich hatte trotzdem gefragt, keine Minute...

Sicher das unangenehmste Resorts, das ich in Thailand kenne, ganz bestimmt nie wieder.

The Pinnacle Samui Resort & Spa on Koh Samui Island is a newly built, small resort on the Maenam Beach in the North of the island. It consists of a mainbuilding and a number of bungalows in the typical Samui style set in a tropical garden. The free size swimming pool and the open air restaurant are directly on the beach as well.
