Oman Travel Advice

Entry requirements differ by country. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office issues country specific travel advice including Health, Visa and Vaccination requirements.

Entry requirements:

  • Entry requirements: All travelers, including those fully vaccinated or not, and those who have had COVID-19 in the past year, have the same entry requirements. There are no specific COVID-19 related restrictions.
  • Entry requirements for children: There are no specific requirements for children and young people.

Passport validity:

  • Your passport should have at least 6 months' validity remaining on your date of entry to Oman.

Visa requirements:

  • General: British nationals can visit Oman without a visa if their stay is less than 14 days, have a confirmed hotel booking, health insurance to cover their stay, and a return ticket. For other types of visit, British nationals need a visa to enter Oman.
  • e-Visa requirements: Visit visas are available on arrival at the airport, but it is recommended to apply for a visa before traveling. Applications can be made through the Royal Oman Police portal. If traveling as a tourist, apply for an unsponsored visa.
  • Visa on arrival: Visit visas are available on arrival at the airport; however, it is recommended to apply for a visa before traveling.
