Romania Travel Advice

Entry requirements differ by country. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office issues country specific travel advice including Health, Visa and Vaccination requirements.

Entry requirements:

  • All restrictions related to COVID-19 ceased on 9 March. There is no longer a requirement to quarantine, test before entering Romania, or complete the PLF (Passenger Locator Form).

Entry requirements for children:

  • British nationals travelling with minors who hold Romanian citizenship should obtain notarised parental consent before departure from Romania. National Union of Public Notaries

Passport validity:

  • Your passport must be issued less than 10 years before the date you enter the country and valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave. Schengen area passport requirements

Visa requirements:

  • You can travel to Romania for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa for tourism, family visits, business meetings, cultural or sports events, or short-term studies/training.

Travel forms:

  • No travel forms required due to the cessation of COVID-19 restrictions.
