Turkey Travel Advice

Entry requirements differ by country. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office issues country specific travel advice including Health, Visa and Vaccination requirements.

Entry requirements:

• All travellers should familiarize themselves with entry rules for Turkey before travelling
• Same entry requirements for all travellers, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status

Entry requirements for children:

• Turkish immigration authorities may request evidence of permission from the Turkish parent to travel with a dual British-Turkish national child

Passport validity:

• For visiting, passports should be valid for at least 150 days from arrival date and have a full blank page for entry and exit stamps
• For residents, passports must be valid for six months from arrival date
• Check with your travel provider to make sure your passport meets their requirements

Visa requirements:

• British Citizens can travel without a visa for visits up to 90 days in any 180-day period for tourist or business purposes

• Visa required for different types of British nationality (eg BN(O), British Overseas Citizen, British Protected Person, British Subject or British Overseas Territories Citizen)

• e-Visa requirements:

  • Not applicable for British Citizens travelling for tourist or business purposes

• Visa on arrival:

  • Not applicable for British Citizens travelling for tourist or business purposes

• COVID-19 entry restrictions:
  • All COVID-19 restrictions in Turkey have been lifted
  • Passengers no longer required to present proof of vaccination or negative PCR test results
  • Check with your airline for specific COVID-19 entry requirements before travelling
